Can someone guide me on where to find the SIR/SLR? I’m scouring throughout the MyUCLA portal and cannot find these forms

I had the same problem but it came up in myUCLA for me a day later
Oh phew a huge wave of paranoia was engulfing me. Thank you! Can anyone who got accepted today confirm the SIR/SLR’s not showing on their end either? I need another dose of confirmation 🤢

does anyone know how big their class cohorts are? I tried to find info online but couldnt, i remember reading something like 750 but not sure if thats correct

Matriculating class size is 175 per this FAQ. Unless you mean the total number of students at the medical school, which MSAR states is 857.

Congrats to everyone who's received an A! If ya'll don't mind, can you share what your Preview scores were? I am freaking out that my low score won't get me anywhere with this school which is my #1. 🙁

As someone who felt this deep in my soul, I wanted to share two quotes from my all-time favorite book series that really helped me reframe my outlook:

We've all come so far and grown so much to reach this point. I take comfort in the fact that even if I don't get in, my journey was not in vain.
The most important step a man can take? It's not the first one, is it? It's the next one. Always the next step.
Love the stormlight reference! I feel this so much as well. This cycle has taught me that it's better to be proud of what I've done to be here rather than what the result will be.

Many of my classmates got 3 or 4 on Preview. It is just another piece to the "holistic" puzzle and a low score on preview alone won't be the reason you are accepted or denied. Since it's a relatively new test, I understand that it doesn't carry a lot of weight when the committee is considering applicants. If you got an interview, that means your preview score was "high enough" so I don't think you should be too worried about it. I hope this helps, lmk if you have other questions

Blessed I got a three or a four, I can’t remember, so this is a relief

congrats to recent acceptances - if you don't mind me asking what are your stats? MCAT/GPA - just to get an idea coz I didn't even get a secondary 🙁

I don't think stats matter much. My MCAT overall was 512 (CARS 123). I haven't taken 2 semesters of general biology. My interview didn't go as well as I wanted it to. But, I do have something that makes me stand out, which is probably why I got accepted. I talked to many students at DGSOM, and every student had one thing that made them special. Articulating it in primary/secondary is key, I think. You can also go to office hours and ask the admissions office for advice.

I agree with this. I think this is one of the only schools where what you say in your secondary actually matters. It seems they have a specific vibe/professional atmosphere they are trying to cultivate and aren’t necessarily just looking for academic success.
It just sucks because I think a lot of us see how we would fit in there and our goals align so much with the school’s, but maybe didn’t articulate it fully in the interview or just unsure about if the admissions sees us the same way.
u just put what ive been thinking into words i couldnt articulate lmao, my interview went TRASH looking back and that was back in september. after hearing their ranking system it quite honestly doesnt make sense to me bc it seems as though earlier interviees have almsot no advantage. i always thought earlier interviews are better due to rolling admissions and the class being filled as the cycle goes on. idk man.

Just remember to be kind to yourself and not beat yourself up about getting the A. We have a lot of time ahead of us before there is no hope of an A. UCLA interviews applicants that they think will become future world leaders of medicine. Just getting an interview is an outstanding accomplishment, and something over 12000 of the 13000 applicants who apply will not get the chance to do.

To reiterate, you must be amazing to have gotten an interview in the first place. This is one of the most if not the most competitive medical school application in the country, like UCLA literally has more apps than Harvard lol. You are killing it ♥️

How does their ranking system work?
basically ive read in last years thread that they interview ppl, rank them, and then more interviees occur and then get ranked with the previous ppl. eg lets say i interviweed and got 6/10 but next week someone else got 9/10 they would then be placed in higher priority than me despite me intervieing earlier. and this contiues happening for multiple interviewing weeks thus why it takes so long to hear back from them. this is my understanding

thanks i appreciate it, its just been eating me alive since sept. my coping mechanism is to downplay ALL of my achievements and think that i'd never get in so that i dont expect anything, but in these last few weeks ive been really looking at the school and seeing the students that go there and the lives they live and clearly its an abolsute DREAM. so to have an opportunity given/dreaming about it and then iSNATCHING it away leaves me in the trenches LMAO

clealy i need to get off here and reddit but ce la vie i cant help it

100% same. waiting since September. The more I think about my interview the more I feel it didn't go well and neither of my interviewers replied to my thank you...which for some reason I always feel like is a bad sign....anyway fingers crossed for all of us this week 🙂 keep ur head up!!!!

My second interview lasted 90 minutes, and the guy literally got up to find a charger for his laptop at the 1-hour mark. Still didn't reply to my TY email. It means nothing; don't let email answers (lack thereof) here or anywhere else pollute your mental real estate.

Bruh 90 minutes? I thought I was pushing it with 45 mins for a 30 minute interview 😂😂

It's literally the whole reason I got the A, I am sure It's by far the best interview of the cycle and one where I connected with the guy deeply. I saw y'all talking about future leaders and everyone at UCLA having something special and all I have is this one interview lmao
