they tell u the exact date that you’ll hear back at your interview, very organized school
I applied for their Community Medicine track and did the interview, but they gave me no info on when to expect a decision. They said it runs on a different timeline/process than the regular MD so not sure when to expect it (the interviewers didn't know either)

oh idk anything about that but i think they have a couple specific release dates for CMT if u look at previous threads. for regular MD it’s been around 2 weeks

Has anyone gotten an interview invite recently? I'm still holding out hope, but I know it's getting late in the cycle. LM of 74 IS applicant
Not too late at all! I just received an II this month

Has anyone else been rejected from the MD but recommended to the MEDPATH program? I went ahead and applied to MEDPATH but a curious about its benefits. Still feeling conflicted about not getting an outright II but trying to stay optimistic that I at least got an “option”.

Good luck to all!

The CMT has limits on space so some people might be accepted within a month of the interview, deferred and accepted a few months down the line or just waitlisted. I was accepted within a month on my interview. Some of my classmates were accepted outright, were deferred for a few months, or got off the waitlist.

Do you know how many people are in the CMT cohort per year?

+1 IS. GUYS so excited about this interview. But they sent it to me on 1/8 Wednesday and I did not see it! I got an email today 1/13 saying “we see you did not schedule yet” and to basically hurry up and do so since I only get 72 hours. Does this mean they only count week days and that I’m good? The time and day does not work for me that they gave me but I accepted and confirmed it anyways and left a vm to hopefully reschedule. Or I will just have to take the L at the hospital and get a point for calling off for the day. Freaking out and hope this won’t make them cancel me.

Congrats on the interview invite! LM score?

If anyone would like a mock interview from a current OSU med student, message me 🙂

were the ones who were accepted outright interviewed in January or later? I'm just confused on what to expect

Any current students know anything about financial packages? When should we be expecting those if we were accepted a couple months ago, and is OSU open to negotiating merit if we have other A (with or without scholarships) at higher ranked schools?
Same question

It should be coming around March/April, but I've heard some get them earlier or later. Also, the first year class was really late due to the whole FAFSA transition last year. Not sure about the negotiating, I think they are open to it, but don't quote me on it.

Is it true most ppl don't receive merit aid?

Have you gotten any information about the timeline or process?

Has anyone else been waiting for an update since the first round of decisions in October? Kinda have a feeling I'll end up ghosted.

Yes, post-deferred to clarify, I apologize I should've just said that.

have u sent any updates? people have gotten off the deferral list in this thread itself and osu typically has a lot of movement (half of their class comes from the deferral/waitlist) so hang in there! i’m in the same boat

Thanks for the uplifting message! I have sent updates but, got pretty generic responses back. Have pretty significant ties so kinda bummed about the wait.

i feel u, i’m on 3 different deferral/alt lists and i’ve been losing my mind. i also sent an update in december and got a generic response. not sure if the adcom even reads them. hoping for good news for both of us

Does OSU accept update/interest letters? I've been on the deferral list since October and want to send updates but it says on the site they don't accept them and there's nowhere in the portal to upload. Anyone have any insight on this?

i think so? i emailed one after my deferral and got a pretty generated response but i think they accepted it

did anyone get decisions today? typically they've started again in the spring on the last Wednesday of January but I've seen nothing so I was just wondering. maybe their pattern changed
