Open file and no notes. All the faculty and interviewers truly try to make it a fun and relaxing interview day. As long as you know your application and yourself, there will be plenty to talk about!

re-read your TMDSAS primary & secondary essays for this school to refresh your memory of what you wrote.
All those secondaries become a blur after a period of time

For anyone who attended the preview day, how was your experience?
 
Interviewed back in August, and I know its the neuroticism that's killing me till match day, but every day that goes on I just feel more and more pessimistic about my chances of getting in: Was it something I said in my interview? My interview could've gone much better. Is my writing really poor? Just so many things in my head getting to me. Accepted to the Caribbean and some other schools, but NEED Texas.

"some other schools" - do you mean DO schools? Going to those would be >>>>> than to the Caribbean.
Texas Tech Lubbock would accept a letter from you telling all the things you like about it, but don't say you "need" to go there

It was a lot of fun! It was very informative and we got to see a lot of the school. It honestly impressed me more than I was expecting so if you're able to go I highly recommend it!

Hi everyone! I interviewed on 11/6, but I’ve noticed that Texas Tech still hasn’t appeared on my rankings yet. Has it shown up for anyone else who interviewed on or after that date?

Anyone who interviewed will have it show up on the portal.
If you are offered acceptance before match day (prematch) you will get an email with the offer
 
I remember on preview day they mentioned that almost all students who attend get scholarships, does anyone have insight on that and how much is awarded? Thanks!

MSI here: most frequently hear it called “ The HSC.” I call it the SOM (like it’s a word), but after seeing the weird looks people give me when say it during tours, I don’t think the world is ready for that one yet 😌
 
Hello, I applied ED to Tech. I submitted my ISII back in June and had my interview in mid-august. Was not accepted as ED and placed in regular pool on October 1st. Have not heard from Tech since. LM of 68. Should I send a letter of interest or something else? The waiting has been brutal.

At this point @Saltyplacebo if you have something new to add send it now, and check to be sure all the schools where you interviewed are showing up on your Match ranking list on your TMDSAS portal. Save your rank list before January 31.
If you only had 1 interview, still rank it #1.
Those who get the "No Match" message on Match Day still have a chance to come in from a WL

It took a very long time before it became available for my cohort. They did eventually put it in. I would imagine that they would be quicker with yours since the deadline to rank is the 31st.

Same here. It took about a month and a half for my cohort.
 
does anyone know if TT Lubbock accepts update letters or letters of interest? i dont think i see a document upload section on the portal

If you have something to say to them send it soon, their regular admission address is fine. Choose a good title for your email to identify yourself and your reason
 
This is my top choice school and I interviewed pretty early on in the cycle and sent an LOI after my preview day back in September. Haven't gotten a prematch and no new updates that I really have. Should I just wait for match day or send in another update if that would help since its been silent for months now.

Anything new to add since your first LOI? You can send another if you really want, but also you can just wait for Match

Yeah nothing new to add, I will probably just wait till match. I just hope the school didn't forget about me haha
 
I interviewed at the beginning of December, and TT Lubbock has now popped onto my ranking list (happened sometime between 1/14 and now)!

I already sent a letter of intent and update letter in late November, but having since attended preview day, I have a lot more insight on the character of the school/appreciation for student support and the genuine feeling of contentment/family I feel from interacting with faculty/MS2s. I truly believe I would be happy and successful at this institution- Is this worth including in another follow up letter of intent, or will that be detrimental? Other than that, I don't have any application updates other than submitting an abstract/poster for an upcoming conference.

One LOI is enough, check your rank list and be sure you placed this school #1
