According to cycle track, 24+ got rejected today? Thats large compared to their previous 2 years. It looks like they did a mass rejection today. Last year 3 of their largest rejection waves don’t even sum to 24. This must’ve been the big kahuna. Whats odd is they usually have always done their mass rejections at the end of March/early April not the beginning of March. Not sure what’s off about this cycle.They must have not been playing games this year about their “intentional mission fit plan”. Or maybe they accepted so many ppl that they didnt even want to consider the excess.

What sucks about that whole haider initiative is they are backed up with it. There are haiders who graduated in 2020 who are just now getting a spot. They only get to reserve 25 spots for certain. That can’t even cover 1 years worth of pre meds that graduate from ucr 💀. It’s a cool initiative, but in reality it’s damn near just as competitive as the regular applicant pool.

Anyone think tonight for haiders? First A wave was Jan 14th, Tuesday. 2nd Tuesday of the month which sound be today lol. Probably stretching but typically calls at 7:30??

Each year 250-300 UCR students or grads apply through AMCAS for med schools. So only 10% can can get the haider A.
