First, I want to say how fortunate I am to be in this position. I'm holding an acceptance from Tufts and will/ have already attended interviews at Yale, UMich, Cornell, Georgetown, GW, University of Rochester and Case Western. I just declined interviews at UVM and Tulane because of the amount of interviews I've received so far in the cycle. I have plane tickets to attend an interview at GW on Tuesday---should I cancel it? Of the schools I'm interviewing at it's the lowest on the list, but I'm terrified to reject it on the off chance I randomly fall in love. Am I being silly and should just try and cut down on my travel/ interviewing craziness? Basically, I'm trying to imagine if I would choose to attend GW over Tufts if I was declined from all of the other schools on my interview trail. Any insight would be appreciated as I know very little about GW--thanks!

You got into tufts and interviewed at a lot of top schools don't bother with GW in all honestly. you already flew around the country, so why go through that more if you've already got acceptances at better places?
As for George washington it's a pretty mediocre school. they offer basically what every other med school offers, except the DC location (if you don't like DC for the love of god don't bother), a few more international electives locations, which you could probably get most of through any decent schools, and a new curriculum that is pretty tentative. GWU had huge accreditation issues earlier and students routinely perform below average. Though I will say it's better than georgetown med school bc that place is just a disaster with its trial by fire administration attitude.

I was in a similar situation, except I dropped case western and a few other schools. If you got into Tufts, I would just drop GW. Don't feel the need to attend every interview if you probably won't go. You will save a lot of $$$

Thanks for the quick responses! I ended up dropping GW and Georgetown interviews as well. I can use the extra few days to catch up on work and life 🙂
