I was lucky enough to get an interview, and I don't know why. My MCAT is the strongest point on my app but it's not that great. My GPAs are slightly below average and I personally think my EC's are quite thin. I'm looking forward to it though, I feel honored just to have two interview invites at this point.
 
Interview invite....on a Sunday at 10 pm?! I'll take it 🙂. Scheduled for Nov. 2!!

Interview Invite!!! 26 MCAT, 3.6 gpa, social science major with lots of long term extracurriculars! I m pretty excited about the MMI interview! I think it will be very interesting!

Dr. Meows, you were right about this one...hopefully this is a sign you will be right about a certain other school I am slightly obsessed with. LOL

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else (preferably a girl, since I'm a girl) had their interview at 8:30AM on Oct.20th and wanted to split the cost of a hotel room in the area.

Hahaha yea that was me. Its on 11/14. Its my 8th one. Starting to be really selective in attending interviews from this point on I think. Its really expensive..... 🙁

8TH ONE! Holy bejesus. Congrats on all your success so far 🙂 if you don't go to all of them I think u should still go to Marian - I personally think it's definitely worth checking out! I can't wait 🙂

yeah, i got this as well, a bit disappointed but what can I do?
 
They got me. Saw the email and was like "Yay secondary" no...just acknowledging they had my applications. >.<
 
At least they acknowledged my existence.

Does the secondary ask at all about connections to Indiana. What does it ask?

No but it does ask (in more or less words) Why Indiana? That's where you can add your connections if you so desire.

It asks Y/N if you are interested in practicing in Indiana or not; if you mark yes, then a field opens with the prompt, "Please explain your interest and why." The other two essays are, "Why are you interested in attending MU-COM?" and "In what area of medicine are you most interested in practicing and why?" There is also a shorter field for you to explain your shadowing experiences. There is also an optional field where you can let the ADCOM know anything about you that you fell is pertinant.
 
Just got an Interview here! Does anyone else have a problem accesing their portal to set a date for interview 😕

Congrats!! 😀 I didn't have a problem - maybe try contacting their office tomorrow if it's still giving you problems. They seem super helpful, organized and on top of things!
 
I got an II today, but I will be withdrawing. I think you have to call them to do so, because I don't see an option in the portal.

SAME. Mine is on Friday. I started reading everything on the website a little earlier today 🙄 And the neurotic part of me is starting to kick in 😳

Mine is Friday too! It's really exciting to be a part of the first day but I don't really know what to expect. This is my first interview and I'm trying to stay calm and prepare myself for common questions.

What time are you at? I'm at 12:30. This is my first MMI - I've heard people say they really like them though so I'm trying to not freak myself out too much 😳 I'm more so excited to see the city and school! Never been there!

I'm at 1230 too, I guess i'll see you there! I have also heard people say that the MMI's tend to be a lot more fun, a good chance to be creative. My husband has some family in Indy, i've been there a handful of times and it is so much like my hometown city (cincinnati). Though I havent actually toured the school, it looks beautful from far away, lol.

To anyone who has an interview coming up here soon, how are u preparing? I read up on the school and this isn't my first interview so I feel like I have a good grasp on interview questions. I also read up on the MMI format, but don't really know if there's a way to prepare for it. Never done an MMI so I'm a little nervous 😕
 
I'm nervous too, it's my first interview. I'm just reviewing important healthcare topics and practicing/smoothing out my answers to general questions. I just keep reminding myself to just be natural and if its a good fit, it will work out!

That's a good way to look at things. I may be too neurotic for that statement though 🙄 :laugh:
 
I applied here but have yet to submit the $100 secondary for financial reasons...I got a call from the admissions office yesterday, they left a message, asking if I was still interested and planning on applying.

Just wondering if this was standard and if anyone else got a call?

No idea if this is standard, but if have a rocking MCAT score. They probably want you because of that. If u think u could go here I'd say turn in that secondary.
 
Can anyone PM me with an email of who to contact in regards to see why I am still showing as not complete. I submitted everything in the middle of September and it says 2 of my letters are complete but 1 is incomplete (advisor letter). However, I stated on my app that I didn't have a pre med advisor and provided another science professor.. Thanks
 
I had the same situation. I called them and they said they will fix it. it might take a fews days though therefore hold tight
