This should be an easy decision, but its not. So I'm obviously soliciting the advice of anonymous strangers on the internet.

Background:
Just got accepted to Dartmouth, which is in all reality my dream school, but currently a Harrison Scholar at MCG. Have *significant* loan burden from undergrad (Top 10 school) and grad school. Is it worth accruing additional debt to go to Dartmouth, or would it be wise to go to my state school with a scholarship? Worth nothing, I'm apprehensive about the diversity and culture of MCG, especially since the preclinical years are not both P/F.

Did Dartmouth give any financial aid?

I'd choose Dartmouth over MCG regardless of financial aid. Opportunities are just better.

dont listen to this advice. these are the same people 10-15 years down the line say that med school wasnt worth it and deterring people from medicine because theyre making 200K a year and driving a buick trying to pay down their 500k in loans

is a harrison scholar a full ride scholar program?

Dartmouth's average grant given to each student is $19,400, if I remember correctly from my interview day. All of their aid is need-based, so I assume you will be given a good amount of scholarship if you already have significant debt.

um.. most schools dont factor your undergrad debt when considering if you are in 'need' or not.

Reality is debt is going to be a huge burden post med school. With that said, every medical school in the country is accredited by the same board and the students learn the same material-I'd go with the money. $100,000+ is a lot of money. It doesn't grow on trees you're gonna have to work them hours and forfeit them checks 🙁(
