is it too early to write them a LOI?
I would think so, especially since they only started handing out interview invites less than 3 weeks ago.

Do you have any idea what order they are reviewing apps in...I was complete at the beginning of August and it seems like they are sending out interview invites for people that were complete at the beginning of this month
No idea. They probably already looked at your application, and they have decided to not extend an interview invite at this time. There's nothing else you can really do but to wait and remain optimistic. There are a myriad of factors that make certain applicants attractive for certain schools.
You would have been fine had you simply said you have no idea and left it at that.
To the original question, just be patient. There is very little information on these forums or elsewhere that speak to the way admin committees review applications. Just be patient and don't read too much into what you see here.
Complete Aug 28; 30 MCAT; 3.57 UGPA, 3.67 SGPA; IS. No II yet.
I am honestly thinking they are not reviewing in order. I believe their pile of paper is in no particular order AND I don't think they are meeting often, because they seem to be giving out interviews very sparingly this month.
Forgot to post this last week. Got a II on 9/26! I submitted my secondary on 9/7.
Interview invite this morning.
IS, non-URM
4.0, 27
.Congrats..when were you complete?
Interview invitations started today NOT in September like some imposters have posted. Spoke directly with an Adcom. Please be wary about everything you read on SDN.
This is false. I have an ii which I received on 9/18. Sorry to burst your bubble
I will believe an ADCOM over any anonymous user on a random website. No bubble bursted. 👍
I just called now and they also said no invites were sent in September.......
"Imposters," I thought that was hilarious...
Here's a list of when the first invites were first sent out for the past few years...( via sdn).
2013 - "Early September." (via Mr.Wonderful)
2012 - 10/11
2011 - 10/6
2010 - 10/13
2009 - 09/30
So... this year admissions decides to sent out invites a month earlier than previous years?!?!
I trust admissions... no offense.
Hey I understand guys. Short of showing you the email I cant do much else to convince you 🙂 good luck to all in the process
Can you take a snapshot of the email and show us? Just hide any personal identifiable information.
I attached it to this.. put a pic in a word doc because I didnt know how else to do it 😛
touché Mr. Wonderful, touché... I apologize for doubting you. You are completely right and I am completely wrong.I attached it to this.. put a pic in a word doc because I didnt know how else to do it 😛

Invite today and complete in JulyFirst of all, Congrats to everyone who has received an ii. This process is extremely stressful and this forum should serve as a support system above all else.
For those of you who received interview invites today, when were you complete? I think all of us want to know where we stand (assuming that they are reviewing applicants in order)
This may be a stupid question (or possibly already answered elsewhere), but when they ask for letters of recommendation from a science faculty, would psychology be considered an acceptable science or does it restrict only to chemistry, biology, physics? Thank you.
Does this school have a portal or anything to review what they have received?
I got a "secondary application complete" from them Sept 9th and havent gotten anything since.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
I am totally in the same boat as you..I received a complete on Sept 9 and haven't heard anything yet either..hopefully we will hear something soon.
Depends who you ask. For many schools, they wont regard Psychology as a true science
How long did it take to receive a complete email? I submitted my secondary in August and my letters of recommendation should have been received by mid-September.
The website says that they are not able to offer individual status checks; does that mean if we call they won't tell us if all materials have been received?
I received an email that said "Your supplemental application is now complete" about 4 days after I submitted my secondary. I never received an email that said they received my LOR. I called them to ask if they received them and they said that they only download the LOR if you are invited for an interview.
Where can you see the status?
I actually hadn't completed my NYIT secondary until two weeks ago when someone from their office called me and inquired about whether or not I would complete my file by submitting it. I was pretty impressed they would call me individually, so I completed it right away, and by the next day, they extended me an interview invite. So now I'm interviewing on November 20th, during the afternoon block. Anyone else interviewing then?
I wasn't initially as interested in this school as I am now, as I've been working with an osteopathic physician in the ED I work at that was a graduate and spoke highly of it, and is a competent physician in her own right. I'll definitely be going to the interview and seeing how it turns out. Fingers crossed!
Congrats on the interview..do you mind sharing your stats?
