So.. if we dont receive an email whenever the schools first release invites, is it an assumed rejection? For ex, if a program released invites yesterday and I didnt get one, I should let it go even if it is my favorite program? Or is it possible to hear back later..? Trying to be hopeful even though I feel like it’s a big no.

You never know...give it time. Just because you weren't in the first round of invitations doesn't mean you won't be invited later. People will decline invitations or preliminarily accept but then cancel because another date clashes down the line.

Has anyone heard anything about Boston Children's Hospital residency interview dates? I saw that they weren't reported last year. We're all waiting for the official communication on October 15th, but I'm hoping someone who applied in previous years might have some insight.

It wasn’t put on the list but the thread from last year shows they sent emails October 20 :). They sent me an email saying I was missing my 2x2 photo but that’s it so far

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but my understanding is they only send out one wave of interviews —only hope would be post match spots. Especially at this point in the cycle where most people that get offers for interviews are going to go (since it’s early)

This is not correct -- they send out one wave of interviews, however when someone inevitably cancels an interview slot they previously accepted due to a conflict (i.e. an interview at a different program that they want more), the school will send out additional interview(s) to fill that vacant interview slot. I know someone who was just invited to a program that sent their interviews out a few weeks ago since someone dropped their interview slot

You can rank as many as you'd like - but I would recommend only ranking programs that you wouldn't mind attending. Don't rank a program you couldn't picture yourself at.
 
I have heard from a few "higher ups" in education that a lot of programs are starting to not participate in PASS - does anyone know anything about this?

You never know...give it time. Just because you weren't in the first round of invitations doesn't mean you won't be invited later. People will decline invitations or preliminarily accept but then cancel because another date clashes down the line.

If you really want to, you can email the program director and ask for an update on the status of your app...I did this with some programs and found out "all interviews have been sent" and basically got rejected

Anyone heard from MUSC yet? They sent out an email saying they would send out invites on October 1st but haven’t seen anyone confirm receiving one yet.

This is not correct -- they send out one wave of interviews, however when someone inevitably cancels an interview slot they previously accepted due to a conflict (i.e. an interview at a different program that they want more), the school will send out additional interview(s) to fill that vacant interview slot. I know someone who was just invited to a program that sent their interviews out a few weeks ago since someone dropped their interview slot

I also just got an interview invite today from a program that sent out invites 9/26 (Toledo). So there is possibility of interview slots opening up!

I applied to 12 programs , 5 of them sent invites already , none to me though, I wonder my GPA and class ranking is affecting my profile , my GPA is 3.5

Stay positive...even if it doesn't go how you would like this time around. This is my 4th attempt; my first 3 applications, I didn't apply to many schools and I didn't get many interviews. I was a top graduate in dental school with lots of peds experience. I didn't match 3 times. This go around I applied to 28 schools and have 9 interviews so far. Granted, I am now 5 years out of school with 5 years of peds experience. Sometimes it doesn't go our way, but I am grateful for how it worked out.

Didn't ask the person calling but I'm assuming they'll call until the spots are full? I'm wondering the same thing about UIC! Seems like the UIC and UW interviews fall on the same dates..
