I was recently accepted to Georgetown off of the waitlist, and I am having a hard time deciding if I should take their acceptance offer or go to St. Louis, where I am currently holding a spot in the incoming class. I liked both schools, but I definitely liked the feel and location of Georgetown better. Also, I'm an identical twin, and after attending undergrad with my sister we decided that we both need to get away from each other and go to different medical schools. Naturally, both of us only got accepted to St. Louis. If there wasn't such a huge price difference, this would really be a no brainer decision. The COA at Georgetown is about 83,000 and the COA at St. Louis is 73,000. Also, I got a 5,000 scholarship to St. Louis and nothing from Georgetown. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can try to leverage your scholarship at SLU against Georgetown and see if they would offer you anything.

Is the CoA difference after scholarship or before?

So are we looking at 83k vs. 73k, or 83k vs. 68k? Over 320k of debt for Georgetown is immense. I'd say go SLU if you still liked it. Like Serous said above, you can try to negotiate some scholarships at Georgetown saying you would prefer to attend Georgetown but the cost is a problem, but since you got in off the waitlist I wouldn't expect much.

Th CoA difference was before the scholarship, so it would be 83k vs 68k. I called them and tried to negotiate, but the person I talked to said it was highly unlikely that they would be able to offer me anything and that I should call back on Tuesday.

Take the money and run.

We're looking at 272k vs. 332k. That's a pretty significant difference and both CoAs are pretty big.
