SUNY Upstate vs. EVMS

if Accepted to both EVMS and Suny Upstate, which school would you all choose? OOS for both, so tuition is not a factor. Reputation wise which one is more known (since both schools are not on US News)

I believe with the new York state schools, you can become in state after one year. So tuition for suny upstate would be much cheaper. So it wouldn't cost the same, suny upstate is much cheaper

I would personally go with SUNY Upstate, but I'm living in Rochester NY right now and might be a bit biased. I know a fourth year there right now who is doing well with the residency interviews so far. University of Rochester is just an hour away...

Though the warmer weather of EVMS might be nice.

both are great great great med schools.. you can't go wrong with either... many students would choose these two schools over many other MD schools in the US, so consider yourself fortunate
