I got an interview phone call recently. (for Nov 20th) The lady told me that she would send out an email for more details. ... still dont see anything yet... Should I call them?
Btw, she mentioned that there is another interview day in Dec. Keep up your hope guys
TCOM show me some love!
No email yet. I guess sometimes this weekHow long did it take you to receive the email?
Thanks!
Also I will be interviewing in mid November. Does anyone have an idea if I might hear back in time for match on December or will I most likely not find out until February?
Bump
Thanks!

I got mine the same day 😱. This was in September though, I'm not sure if that makes any difference.Does anyone know when I should expect to receive an email with the details about interview day?
Got the call from Caroline a few days ago and my interview is in less than two weeks She said it would come soon, but I was just wondering when most people get it.

Sorry, should've been more clear. I received the email with all the details the same day as the phone call with my interview invitation.Ummmmm so how do we know when to show up and where to go??
Unless you mean same day as the phone call.

If you like, I can tell you where you should go: the building is EAD and the room is around EAD-248. If you go to that location on your interview day, you should be able to see the office open and a seating area in front of the office with about 14 black chairs in front. The only thing I cannot tell you is if it is going to be an early interview or not, since some interviews start at 7:30a. But, I would email her or call her just in case!Does anyone know when I should expect to receive an email with the details about interview day?

Did you apply to ROME? They have 3 interviews. Are there 2 interviews? Caroline stated this in her email:
INTERVIEW A at 9:00 A.M.
Orientation (meet in EAD 248 ) at 12:00 P.M.
Lunch &Tour with Student Ambassadors at 12:00 P.M.
INTERVIEW B at 9:45 A.M.
INTERVIEW B at 2:00 P.M.
Does this mean that my specific ii will be at 9:00am and then again at either 9:45am or 2:00 pm?

I didn't know there were two interviews?
Yep, regular applicants get 2. You'll get a folder with their names and degrees when you are there.I got another emailing clarifying that it was at 9 and 9:45 for me. I didn't know there were two interviews?
That's great! Congrats 🙂Still waiting on II from TCOM, but did get accepted into the AA program at Case Western in Houston!

Did you apply to the DO/PhD program? as that also entails 3 interviews.my email also stated 3 interviews, two in the morning and one in the afternoon. don't think I applied to ROME. going to call tomorrow to clarify.
Yes! I'm feeling super blessed! It is a great program and will definitely be a great fit for my life! I have done a ton of research on it and it appears that it is just beginning to take off!! The application process was very easy as well, since I had already taken the pre-reqs through pre-med progam!Congrats! AA is actually a great career by itself, and you can always reapply to med school.
I'm guessing its a typo or something on Caroline's part. I also had an email with 3 interviews but I was a regular applicant.
I really really hope to hear good news on Friday, though it might be a stretch according to previous years' threads. Interviewed on 10/10. It's more likely that I'll hear back the week before Christmas.I greatly enjoyed the interview last Thursday! They said it takes 2 weeks to hear back so if you interview in November it is possible to still get a pre-match.
Well, I'm rooting for you! Keep on keeping on. I'm sure you'll hear some great news soon.I really really hope to hear good news on Friday, though it might be a stretch according to previous years' threads. Interviewed on 10/10. It's more likely that I'll hear back the week before Christmas.
Venting below:
My parents have been really bugging me recently and I want Thanksgiving to not be miserable. They've been trying to convince me to quit being pre-med for the last 4 years (ever since I started University) and go get a job without going through 4 more years of education although I've worked all through college. The lack of acceptances thus far is making them impatient. They keep saying, "See, we told you that you can't do it." It's incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking.

They, like us, are very impatient. Let us hope for the best though! Just keep working hard. Parents are just worried! I'm certain they will be so excited once the waiting is over. It's hard on everyone. My parents were sort of driving me crazy too. They are really thrilled about the AA program. 24 months and great money with great hours. No matter what your folks will be proud of you!!I really really hope to hear good news on Friday, though it might be a stretch according to previous years' threads. Interviewed on 10/10. They were pretty conversational. Nothing off the wall or super philosophical. They were kind of asking more person and personality questions. I'm not sure if this is true for others.was the interview pretty laid back? did you have any difficult questions?
Congratulations on your AA acceptance. As a PACU RN for the past several years, I am curious to know what the major differences are between a CRNA and an AA. I am completely ignorant of the AA profession, as none have ever been employed in the 4 hospitals I've worked within. Where do Anesthesiologist Assistants primarily work? Thanks in advance.Still waiting on II from TCOM, but did get accepted into the AA program at Case Western in Houston!

II this morning! Was afraid they would skip over me after I saw a few of my old classmates being picked already 🙂

A CRNA is a RN who has worked for a period of time as an RN, then applies for and goes to Nurse Anesthetist school. Not sure about their program. I do know that a NA is able to work much more autonomously than an AA. As an AA works under the direct supervision of an Anesthesiologist all the time. In order to get into an AA program you have to have basically a pre-med background and undergrad degree, and take the mcat. The classes that are required are actually listed on the Case Western website. You have to have a score of B or higher in all of the pre-reqs. The AA is a Masters of Science in Anesthesia. Because it is a relatively new program in the state of Texas, there are not a lot of them out there, but the field is growing and the starting salary is really great. I believe AAs tend to work in larger hospitals because they usually work within Anethesiology Care Teams. The hours are fantastic, which makes it very conducive to family life. CRNAs actually do the same thing and are both anesthetists. The pay is very comparable for both titles. There is a lot to it...hope this helps a little! Thanks for the info. Good luck to you! I also just learned about Pathology Assistants. They are physician's assistants like AA's, except they work under pathologists. I think it is so cool that there are so many types of non-physician healthcare specialists.A CRNA is a RN who has worked for a period of time as an RN, then applies for and goes to Nurse Anesthetist school.
