My school doesn't have a committe letter service thingee either...
and I'm also using Interfolio...for my 5 LORs

You should check the second option: "Submission of 3 to 5 individual letters"
Also check: by Interfolio

Yup. The case is different if your SCHOOL packages them all together and sends them. Yours are textbook cases of individual letters. 👍

The computer glitch is supposed to be fixed by the end of this week. I would expect you'd hear something from them then. You can always go on their website and download the secondary application to get started on it in the meantime.

If you haven't found out anything by next week I would call.

I definitely don't know for sure one way or the other, but I was looking at the Einstein website which also has an application up that anyone can download (not the 2009 one yet, by the way) and it explicitly says "dont send us the application until we request it of you" so I'm guessing most med schools have that policy.

So I got my secondary invite from GW and haven't been verified yet. One question I have is could I send the secondary w/o the LORs? One writer is taking their time....🙁 and I would like to send in my secondary ASAP.

Can you send it in without LORs? Sure!! BUT, your file won't be complete until your LORs get there and therefore your application will sit in the pile of 10000 apps at GW until that happens. No school will start reviewing you until they have everything they require: secondary app, LOR's, and don't forget that $$$

stupid question: I have a committee letter and 1 other LOR (from HUP)... the committee letter is coming from virtualevals and the HUP LOR is being sent through Interfolio... I can just [x] both virtualevals and interfolio even tho it says only to check one, right? Thanks.

In case anyone is in the same boat as me, I asked them if I could check both boxes for interfolio/virtualevals and use each to send in one LOR.... They responded with the following...

Just called and they say they don't care what classes you list under your courses. They are just looking for credit completion so feel free to put classes you aced.

So you don't necessarily have to put the "premed curriculum" - IE, if you're a chem major you can put upper level chem courses?

Yes. Upper div, lower div, doesn't matter. It's just to make sure that you have fulfilled their requirements.

Yes - only enter it in the "Lecture" section and leave the corresponding "Lab" section blank.

That is exactly what I did. I didn't have time to go get some glossy paper and/or more-professional prints. I think it will be okay. It is optional at this point anyway.

I just got sick of looking at the secondary and wanted to send it out. Which I just did. yay. one down. umpteen more to go

• For one of my GENERAL chemistry credits, I am using AP credit which has already been accepted by my university. The AP Chemistry course credit is on my official transcript as well. In the GW secondary app, for course title I’ll put “General Chemistry course credit” however for the questions asking “Lecture and Lab combined”, “Grade received”, and “Year Taken” what should I put? On my transcript, besides grade, it says AP however I did receive an A in that AP class during highschool. Also, on my transcript, the AP chemistry course credit is listed as 1 course credit (which is 4 semester hours)- should I then put lecture and lab combined?

i have to do that for bio, except i'm using upper level bios. why? because my high school credit doesn't include labs, that's why. for the rest of my requirements i'll put the college classes since i completed them in college.

note: for the bio it even says "botany and biochem classes do not count," meaning you CAN put upper level bio classes at least.

hey you guys, i'm retaking my MCAT next week. that score won't be in until August 10th. do you think i should wait till closer to aug. 10th to send in the secondary? i just don't want them to reject me by sending my secondary in now and them lying about "holding" my app till my retake comes in. they might not autoreject me with my 1st MCAT since it was a 26 R (8, 10, 8). their median of accepted students last year according to MSAR is 10, 10, 10. so i'm not toooo far off lol. their median gpas are 3.6 (overall) and 3.5 (science) while mine are 3.63 and 3.58.

also, i don't know specifically what i am doing yet this next year, so i can't even answer that question on the secondary yet haha.

sooo yea, see any problem with holding onto the secondary for like a month?

If you are sure you want to apply to GW no matter what happens with your retake then send your secondary in now. Some schools care about how long you take to submit your secondary (not sure about GW specifically though). If the schools know you are retaking then your application won't be looked at until your new score comes in and you are complete. They aren't lying about not considering your application until all your info is in. 🙂 Good luck with the retake!
