Has anyone else kind of been frustrated about communication with Jefferson? The admissions office is not particularly friendly, and when I emailed them about my application, they gave me a general response (did not really answer my question).

I know they're busy, but other schools are too, and they have been more helpful.

I submitted my secondary and all other materials about a month ago, but the website says they have not recieved my LOR. I've called and e-mailed, but still no change. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do next?

Did they tell you how long it would take to process to LORs? If it has passed that timeline, definitely give them a call again and let them know that it has passed that timeline they told you.

I would call them again or just resend the LORs because they marked mine as received within a week and that was only two weeks ago.

i have been complete since 7/25 and i have had NO news. is there any hope of getting an interview? have they started rejecting people?

Jefferson doesn't send rejection letters. You will only hear from them if you are selected to interview.

I've only called once and it was just to make sure they had my check even tho it says they do on the website. But they've had it for over a month and it still hasn't been cashed. I don't get it...

Jefferson doesn't send rejection letters. You will only hear from them if you are selected to interview.

your best guess is having all yesses, the way it sounds noone knows the outcome until the end of the season (or receiving an invite)...good luck

Not sure if I posted here or not, but I'll be interviewing at Jefferson at the end of October...kinda excited 😛 The question I have about Jefferson is I've heard that they train excellent physicians, but their research opportunities are not so exciting (in other words this is not a research oriented school). Can anyone (perhaps current Jefferson med students) tell me if it's true. And do you think I should ask questions about research (cause I'm definitely interested in it) during the interview if it's not the school's strongest point?

I can definitely feel your pain, as some other med schools are ignoring me the same way... Nothing you can do...if one school doesn't like you, another surely will. good luck at Jefferson, anyway!🙂

guys it cant be as bad as it seems. i mean only one poster on this entire page of posts has gotten an invite. maybe he was autoinvited for a certai gpa/score/aspect. i think we should put aside the idea weve already been passed over for just a while at least

Congrats on your interview!!! I felt awkward as "the only person on this page with interview at Jeff" 🙄 At least now there's two of us...and I saw couple of people on previous pages posting about their interviews...

I might be wrong, but I was researching Jefferson recently to get more info for my interview, and I remember reading something like this: in 2006 70% of the class came off waitlist, in 2007 only 5 people came off waitlist...so I guess it really depends on a year.
