I will be withdrawing on Monday, so I hope that gives some hope to ya'll.
Thanks for letting us know, and congrats on getting into a school you'd rather go to. It actually does give us hope!

it has a huge violent crime problem... how does everyone feel about this?

As a recent SLU grad and a nearly life-long St. Louisan, I can tell you that yes, there is crime, but I'm sure it's a lot worse in other areas of the country. Every few weeks SLU sends out an e-mail from the Dept. of Public Safety recounting an incident that had happened. Most recently, a girl got mugged outside of her on-campus apartment. Just weeks before, these same apartments got broken into and several students had all of their expensive electronics stolen. On a seperate note, two nights ago a friend of mine had her house broken into and she lives just a couple miles south of the SLU med campus. In short, things like this can happen wherever you live. I certainly don't think these anecdotes are representative of the city as a whole, rather, my status as a SLU student had me informed of every incident that occured on or near the campus.
However, in my opinion if you have the option of going to a school in a less urban area, do it. No matter how you slice it, city= crime and that's the sad truth.

Hi there, brand new to SDN and just got waitlisted at SLU on 5/21 (interview 3/2). Anybody know if because I was waitlisted so late that I have have no shot - i.e are they more likely to pull people from the waitlist who have been on it since December? maybe a stupid question but just curious
Just got accepted!!
I: 3/9 WL: 5/14
Accepted: 5/26
I got an email today that the committee has assigned me a position on the alternate list, and that they are requesting that I update my info. They also wanted to know if I wanted to keep my application in consideration or withdraw it. I was wondering if anyone else got it?
I got that email today. Hope it doesn't mean we're in the back of the list and they're trying to gently tell us it ain't happening.

Why is it soo quiet!!?
I was just told my someone in the office that they rank the alternate list but the committee keeps the rankings confidential... Anyone know how big the list is ??? Also, for those who have been accepted, were you notified by email or snail mail ?
Good luck to everyone still waiting!

i think it is just that private school waitlist move slower but move more of the summer and more movement overall. we just have to wait for instate kids get taken off their instate school waitlists and then retract their spot at SLU. hopefully we will hear soon though

has anyone called lately?
does anyone here who's already gotten in at SLU plan to withdraw if they get in elsewhere? seems like movement has been really slow...
WD from Albany and Cinci... still holding out for Toledo, OSU, and Case
sigh...
I just got off the waitlist - but they want me to pay the whole tuition upfront, so sadly I'll have to reject my offer 🙁
