Sorry for the RedSox82 post above... was longed into my boyfriend's account.

So I would say it took about a week, maybe less. But I'm in no way saying that there's some sort of correlation. This is just what I noticed with my particular application/status page.

Is being "small pooled" any sort of "jump" from where I was before? In other words, is it any sort of cut?

I would say so, especially since people have been rejected post-secondary

Definitely, because you can't possibly get an interview without being in the small pool.
 
So, this has nothing to do with UVM, but what do people think about taking care of a guinea pig in med school? I really want a pet in my life, but I need to find one that doesn't care if I stay in the library a lot.

Opinions? 🙂

P.S. Lamaco, I don't think there will be any waitlist movement until the adcom meets again in December. So, probably keep a look out in early January.
 
has anyone who took a post august 22nd mcat been granted an interview? im still under prelim review...

wow mine changed yet again; the wording is altered in both sentences. are they just playing games with our minds? haha, i hope to hear good news outta here.

Once the review of your file is complete your status will be updated.

Please continue to check your status periodically through the Online Applicant Center.

What the hell. Mine is different:

Why would they bother to code in different things for each applicant? It's exactly the same content but worded differently, as you said. Any ideas? Bizarre.

when did you submit littlerock? maybe ruskaya are a little ahead of you in the process? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm this is funky
 
I had the same message as Ruskaya's last week. I just checked and I now have the same message as little rock's. Plainly weird.
 
possible thoughts: they are just changing it to keep you guys entertained because they are falling behind in the apps? on a side not: i am losing hope with vermont, which is too bad 🙁 i really wanted to at least visit the school

i took the aug 26 mcat, so complete around oct 1st. they are verrrry nice on the phone, tho i wish i weren't still under preliminary review 🙁

lolol that was cute. :laugh: I don't know about guinea pigs but they really really smell. How about a cat? I 😍 my cat even though she's old and drools on me.

Read some of the previous pages - it is not a rejection, everyone gets small pooled before getting an interview, but not everyone who is small pooled will get an interview.

my 8 week window was up Monday and I just got small pooled today
 
They don't send emails about being small pooled. That's something you find out via status page (online applicant center)
 
yehh I've been complete for 8 and a half or 9 weeks by now.. nothing yet 🙁

Anyone interviewing at UVM this coming Thursday, Dec 4th? I am and am really excited and totally nervous! UVM is my first choice so I totally want to rock this one.

So any other OOS waitlisters have any theories about possible movement? It seems like last year there were a bunch of people taken offthe waitlist around now. Maybe after the next comm meeting? Anyone know when that is? As fun as checking status obsessively is and all...😛

I'm basing this on next-to-nothing, but I think some of us OOS waitlisters will be accepted this month. A friend at the school told me that she and several classmates were OOS waitlisted and then taken off the waitlist after the following committee meeting last year...
 
Hi all,

Just had my interview yesterday and absolutely LOVED UVM COM... even more than I did previously!

So in regards to the next committee meeting, Patrick said that it wouldn't be held until the end of December and that he guaranteed we wouldn't hear anything before January 6th. I'm assuming that means the same for all of you who are waiting for some good news about getting off the waitlist.

about how long did it take everyone who received an interview to go from small pool to interview? i was complete 12-2 a nd am hoping for something.

I'm wondering the same thing.. I heard of people getting interviews the day after getting small-pooled if I understood correctly

I was small-pooled almost a week ago and am hoping as well
 
I think it's (generally) at least two weeks between small pooling and interview invites. It was three weeks for me.

That's disappointing. People in the previous interview group were told they would hear something by Thanksgiving but most ended up hearing by the end of October, so I was holding on to hope that we would hear earlier. Thanks for the info though.

yeap, i was small pooled 12-2 actually, not complete
 
I have been complete around 10/20 and I just got the small pooled today.
Realistically, would I get an interview invite (similar to everyone else in this thread) 2 to 3 weeks from now or is January more plausible?
