Wow, CCLCM reviews applicants that interviewed the day of the adcom meeting? That's a fast turnaround from the interviewers! Back when I was interviewing, I was happy if I got my feedback in by that evening! 😱
Vell, vee have vays of making you turn in your interview feedback qvickly, and vee aren't afraid to use them... :ninja:

The cup is half full! I can make another big trip and combine several and save on money! I would s--- in my pants if I got into CCLCM.
Don't stress out over this. The reason why we have the semi-rolling admissions is to make sure there are seats left open for the people who interview later. Only around 10 people total will get accepted in December, so you will be fine if you interview in January, or even in February. Just set up the interview for whatever day is easiest for you, and go back to juggling your other things. 🙂

Not for CCLCM. The first CCLCM subcommittee meeting is on Tuesday, December 15. Anyone who interviews up to that point, including Monday the 14th, can be considered on the 15th. I'm not sure if they have any interviews scheduled on the 17th and 18th, but if they do, those people would be up for conside

Nuts, I'm coming on the 18th. Perhaps I will try to move it up then...

Don't even bother...CCLCM said they're booked and now I'm going in late January...will I get in for the second committee meeting?

That's really great 👍, meaning that I don't have to kick myself too much for a semi-late application.
I have finals in the week of Dec 14-18, so I'm coming to CCLCM on Jan 7th (anyone else?). Anyway, the possibility of attending CCLCM would be a total dream come true :xf:, even though the odds may be slim. So excited!

We got an interview invite on the same day (but I got UP too)...why do you get to interview earlier? 🙁 I wanted to do a combo-trip...

Anyone who has already interviewed at CCLCM, when did your interview days end? Does it really end around 3:40pm? (In which case, booking a 5:30 flight is probably not smart.)

I'd advise against booking a 5:30 flight. I think I left the school at like 4:00.

It's probably something trivial like the time you called to schedule. I don't think it's an indication of our relative "specialness" 😉.

As of today, UP has only a few interview slots left for December and any combo interviews are being scheduled for late Jan.

It depends on how late in January you are coming. The second subcommittee meeting is on January 26. The last one is on February 16, so you won't have to wait long even if you just miss the second meeting.

Congrats, and good luck!

It ends around 4 PM. If you can get a flight that leaves after 6 PM, you'll feel a lot less stressed. If you can't, then you'll just have to leave a little early.

Whoa, do you or CCLCMer know how far along the College program is in the interview process? I've been complete since July and I'm still hoping for an interview with CC.

I think about the same. A little over half of our interview invites have gone out so far.

Interviewing at Case on Tuesday next week, exciting! but bummer that it's exam week.

I just got back from my interview at CCLCM. It was awesome! I have interviewed at a few other top programs (Baylor, WUSTL, and Mayo) and I loved CCLCM much more than any of them. Absolutely my first choice right now. Good luck to everyone else interviewing here!

I received the following email yesterday but can't check my status because iApply is down.

Have any good things resulted from this email for anyone else? I am preinterview. Thanks for the help.

Bring your books in case you get some down-time. Sometimes people have an odd hour or two while waiting for interviews.

I got this same message. I'm interviewing for MD/PhD next week, so I wasn't really expecting any sort of update...

yeah, I'm getting worried b/c I'm interviewing Monday and need to print out all the interview info (where to go in the morning, when to be there, campus map, etc.)

is this information posted anywhere else by any chance? thanks.

Sorry about the problems with iApply.

The interview day begins at 8 AM (may be 8:15, can't remember, try 8 to be safe) in the admissions office. To get to the admissions office, go to the biomedical research building and tell the security guard on the ground floor that you're interviewing at the medical school and they should let you into the Robbins building and tell you where the elevators are. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor. When you exit the elevator and face the hallway, turn right. Go past the men's room on the right and turn right. The admissions office is the first door on the left. There should also be signs pointing you there. Hope this helps.

HOW TO REACH THE CAMPUS – Google Map Campus Map
By AIR:
From Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), the easiest and least expensive way of getting to the campus is to take the RTA Rapid Transit Red Line train. A Rapid Transit one-way fare is $2.00 and takes about 30-45 minutes. Board the Rapid at the airport (heading East) and ride to the UNIVERSITY CIRCLE stop. After departing the train, turn right, follow the Case sign through the doors and down the steps, and go to the end of the tunnel. Proceed through turnstiles, turn left, go up the steps to the University Circle bus shelter. Free shuttle buses (marked UCI or CIRCLELINK) run every 15 minutes from 6:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to all areas of the campus. Ask the driver to let you off at the School of Medicine. Now follow the directions in the section on the following page titled: "HOW TO GET INTO THE SCHOOL OF MEDICINE BUILDING."

By TAXI: From the airport, a taxi will cost approximately $35.00 and the trip can take about 30-45 minutes. At the end of the bricklined walkway, and clearly visible from most of the campus, is the clock tower of the red-brick Biomedical Research building.

Enter the School of Medicine through this building and register at the security desk, which is staffed from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitor access to the School of Medicine is limited. wow, thank you SO much to vc7777 and iceman77_7!!! this thread truly is amazing! 🙂

i'm super excited about case...thanks for being so helpful!

I'm such a *******, I could have scheduled my Case interview in first week of september, and instead Im going next week. I feel like I have hurt my chances by putting it off so late.

Don't worry about it. When you get here, tell us several reasons why you love us. Then, give us several reasons (with specific, concrete examples) why we should love you back.

newdoc2013--are you with UP or CCLCM?
Definitely UP. Our first years don't have an exam next week. 😉

are they open or closed file interviews?
Faculty open, student closed.
Same for CCLCM. However, if the student interviewer is an adcomm, they will read your app later.

No promises, but talking about eggplants might help too...
This is naturally the single most important criterion for deciding who gets into Case. 😀

By the way, vc7777, I love the new avatar. You are too funny.

If its about love, why are you guys asking me to pay so much too ;p?!!?!

...I totally skimmed over the content of that post.😳
I am starting to read more carefully and look for clues when I read each paragraph, because whenever I don't, these practice questions I'm doing are handing me my hind end. I really HATE knowing something and missing the question because I didn't read carefully. :annoyed:

Question for any of you applicants who have interviewed/are interviewing for the UP: what time does your interview day end, and where does it end? I'm assuming the Case admissions office on the third floor?

Scheduling varies per applicant, but the latest you can end up staying is 4pm. They get dropped off back in admissions after the second interview. Fill in the survey and your day is done. 👍

What's the earliest someone could be done?

If the stars align in your favor and the sun smiles upon you, you could be done by 3, but I wouldn't count on it. Granted if there's a time issue, one can always contact the admissions office in advance and have them shuffle the times around.👍

(Q&A is scheduled from 1:30-2PM, followed by 2nd round of interviewing (if you've had one already--not always the case, in which case first and second round at 30 minutes each))

I feel the need to point out that you're here reading our random questions and answers on a Saturday night. :meanie:
