..it was a combination of crappy marks, not wanting to spend another year doing something else, and parents willing to bankroll/pressuring me to apply. In reality, I would've probably only willingly applied to 10-15 schools.

I interviewed for UP this month. Case is one weird but amazing school at the same time. Dr. Mehta and Dr. Haynie are some fierce and fabulous deans. Everyone seems like one big happy family. It was so hilarious walking through the hallways though because it felt like I was on the set of Degrassi or my old middle school. The societies are interesting...Hogwarts anyone?. Anyway, love this school 😍... hope it loves me too.

Yes. If you have something to update your file with (new grades, pub, etc.) you can send it to Dean Franco.

I interviewed Monday 12/14. Case was awesome. Interview was a little rough, however. It was supposed to take 45 minutes, mine lasted 1 hr 20 min. He grilled me pretty hard on patient privacy issues. Overall, he was a nice guy who seemed to think good things about Case.

It was good to meet any M1's and other interviewees out there who were at the Christmas potluck. Best of luck to everyone!

And now we play the waiting game...

Oh, I was also told that our interview date would probably have to wait over a month to hear despite what the admissions office said in their email. Things are getting pushed back with the holidays.

I realize post-interview hold applications get re-reviewed starting in January, but can any Case students speak to the chances of getting admitted after being placed on post-interview hold? Do they have any hard numbers or anecdotal experience on the proportion of students who get in from the hold list?

don't know if this helps at all, but one of my faculty interviewers told me that the way they make decisions is that the adcom (something like 100 people) sit in a room, your picture comes up on a huge screen, and your interviewers stand up and advocate for you. I know the interviewers fill out evaluations after the interview, though, so I'm not sure exactly how it works out- this is just what I was told. How do you know your student interview went so badly?

oh no, i thought they would be sending carrier pigeons. i spent all this time building this bird house with the only level 1 adult and pediatric bird trauma center (where big bird came when he got injured in that fight with count dracula about one being a prime number) in the country.

birds migrate down south for the winter, so I had to send balloon boy up in the air to recruit some down but you are welcome to join us. we have Lago, Jafar's bird in Alladin, teaching a class on speech therapy for the next few weeks so it should be exciting.
