s\ but why would CCLCM be running a bank scam???? 😕 /sI got a missed call from area code 216 when I went out to lunch today. I thought it was the CCLCM calling, and I got really excited (and I wondered why they'd call the day before their meeting).
When I got back to lab, I looked up the number on google and it's a bank scam.![]()
It's how they fund their free tuition.s\ but why would CCLCM be running a bank scam???? 😕 /s
And here I was thinking it was through grants and research. Boy was I off! It's how they fund their free tuition.

I don't think so. Well not in my case at least. My letter said they'd get back to me in April.is this subcommittee meeting for those who were put on hold as well?
I will get back to you tomorrow.Hi All
I am interviewing at both UP and CCLCM this week on Thurs and Fri flying in Wed night and leaving Fri evening. I have written to some current students on the student host site over the past month but have either not recieved a reply or hosts are busy with exams. I would perfer to stay with a student host, but will hotel it. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I would like to get a current student perspective while I am in Cleveland.............
I would take whatever date is available and fits in with your schedule. We're coming up to the end of the interview season here, so it doesn't really matter.OK so I need to reschedule that interview I missed (maybe get you again CCLCMer 😀)
What is the optimal time frame I'm looking at here for a date? Somewhere before the end of February? That'll put me in the same boat I was interviewing on the 22nd?
Yes, tomorrow. Calls will definitely not be made before Thursday. Last time they went out on Friday, so they may not go out Thursday either. Hang in there, guys, and good luck to all of you who are waiting.so this Tuesday is the big subcommittee meeting where interviewees get accepted. gluck everyone!
At least some of the people on hold will be considered tomorrow.is this subcommittee meeting for those who were put on hold as well?
Glad you enjoyed it. I am the fourth year student who came in at the end of the lunch and was there at the wrapup. 🙂CCLCM interview today. Absolutely awesome. Case tomorrow, hopefully thats good as well, but CCLCM left QUITE the impression.
Should I admit that I paid you to say that?Case and CCLCM people are wayyyyyy too nice. And I'm not just saying this. I think only 1-2 other schools I've been at are on the same level. 🙂
Um, check's in the mail? 😀You paid me? Where's the money then!! 😡
I don't think so. Well not in my case at least. My letter said they'd get back to me in April.
Yeah, same here. said wouldn't tell me anything until april, so i won't be looked at by the committee...🙁
Denise may already have someone new to interview you, but if you tell me when you reschedule, I'll try to stop by for lunch and/or wrapup that day. 🙂
Strange conversations are the best kind. 👍Stalker...looking for my address!
So is it a stipulation that in order to continue getting your scholarship, you have to convince an interviewee to say how much they like the school? 😛
This is a strange conversation we're having...
What is up with everyone talking about stalking today! Well, to be completely up front with you, Reggieray2k, I do actually know who you are, b/c the admissions office emails us the applicant's name and school when they schedule us to do an interview. But I promise I won't stalk you. 😛I rescheduled for Feb 11. I'll be the kid complaining about Southwest Airlines from San Diego 😎
Now I'm worried that CCLCM will e-stalk me and find out all my ... good qualities.
Oh, it won't be slow later this week. 😉Apparently, it's a slow day on the thread too...

The second CCLCM subcommittee meeting just started twenty minutes ago.![]()

to all of you who are waiting to hear.
Dean Franco has clinic tomorrow, so it will be Thursday evening at the earliest. AT THE EARLIEST. Meaning, it could be later than Thursday. I will try to get a more specific ETC (estimated time of calls), but it won't be today or tomorrow.Ahh, but when will the phone calls be made?![]()
So I just called the admissions office to inquire about the post interview hold status for the UP program and she said all the holds will be reviewed after the interview season was over. She told me the hold list is essentially a waitlist and not many people get off it. I am confused, as previous posts on this thread made it seem that it is quite common for people on the hold list to get accepted. Could someone clarify this for me and also why this year they are reviewing the holds in late February as opposed to in January like last year. Thanks.
The CCLCM subcommittee meetings can last for up to five hours, from 12 PM to 5 PM. There's not a set number of people who get discussed during each meeting, as far as I know.hey cclcmer..just out of curiosity..how many students are typically discussed at these subcommittee meetings and how long do these meetings take to complete?

I would check with your parents or whatever other address you included on AMCAS. Everyone should have gotten some kind of a snail mail letter. If you're sure you didn't get one at any of your addresses, you might want to contact the admissions office and ask.I interviewed at CCLCM in mid October..
But, I havn't received anything yet. No phone call. No e-mail. No snail mail. No nothing.. What's going on?
Hey, nothing is too intense if it's for the applicants' sake. 😛Wow, that sounds pretty intense.

From Case's website:
"If you are placed in the Hold category the Admissions Committee will revisit your application later in the admissions cycle to determine whether to place you on the alternate list or close your application for the current cycle."
So does this mean that getting put on hold means that you aren't eligible for a straight acceptance anymore? I thought a hold was kind of a deferral on your decision, that they would reevaluate you for acceptance in the next meeting. But looking at this it seems like you will either be waitlisted or rejected if you've been put on hold.
yeah, like I posted here... looks like the hold can result in a rejection or waitlist, so I guess those on hold are not necessarily waitlisted just yet. I wonder- what is the motivation behind being selective with who goes on the waitlist. Mayo does the same thing I'm told
OMG, how confusing...but anything is better than a No! It at least allows me to string my hope out longer.yeah, like I posted here... looks like the hold can result in a rejection or waitlist, so I guess those on hold are not necessarily waitlisted just yet. Good luck on that! I swore I would too...lasted about 2 weeks. >_<I have to put decisions out of my mind for a month though until I would be hearing back.
Right, those who are on hold are not necessarily waitlisted. Basically it means that the adcomm hasn't made a final decision about those apps yet. In other words, waitlist is a final decision (and so are acceptance or rejection), but hold means no final decision has been made yet.yeah, like I posted here... looks like the hold can result in a rejection or waitlist, so I guess those on hold are not necessarily waitlisted just yet. Good luck.Glad I got to meet you then. I was the guy from Rochester, on the admissions office side of the table. Hopefully I end up back there in July! I have to put decisions out of my mind for a month though until I would be hearing back.

Haha, we were posting at the exact same time.any update on when the calls might go out for cclcm? can't stop thinking abt it..
