I doubt that an incomplement application would receive an interview.

Does anyone know the latest interview date for this year? And how much of their class do u guys think they will have filled by the end of the year?
 
I think u can get an interview wo all of LOR bc when u get an invite ms walk lets u know in the email that lor r recieved

"Invitations will be issues from now until mid-March.
Most interviews will be completed by the end of April"

Thanks 4 the info. but thats not quite what I am asking. I was wondering if anyone knew the last interview date for 2009, and how many of the class seats will have been offered by then (maybe about half?)?
 
So after crusing the MD applicants website. I noticed that people who were interview in Oct didn't hear back until Dec.... 🙁

It looks like we might have as long a wait as Faith and her group does.
 
i just realized that last year howard had 523 internationals apply, and only 16 were interviewed. wow. out of those 16 though, 10 matriculated. so good chances after an interview!!!

so hoping for an interview!!!

howard, i would love you!!
 
i hope not I would not wish this wait time on anyone especially if you had not had an acceptance yet (well maybe an enemy(LOL)) let is just keep positive start studying the names of bones, muscles, or blood vessels that will keep you busy.😍😍😍😍

:scared:, good thing I have 2 more interviews so far to keep my mind busy. Still hoping that November is the day I know, so I can withdraw many of my applications from other schools.
 
i think nov will be the day i am sure they want to get it out the way b4 thanksgiving well let us hope so

I am out of Committee, now I'm really nervous. November 15 they said letters "should" be mailed out. :xf: Good luck everyone.
 
Out of committe too. I'm feeling very nervous too. Just hoping and praying for everyone.
 
congratulations!!!! I do not like the fact of this out of comittee email because that just gives more stress is the answer yes or no so now we have to wait almost 2 weeks for an answer that is already there this is ironic. LOL😍😍

I know, its like "survivor" they all ready know who they are voting off, but have to hold off on elimination to create a suspense! Except our suspense is going to last, hmmmmmmm 2 weeks or so. :scared::scared::scared:

Hi guys,
I mailed my secondary in on Oct. 23 and was told it wud b there by the following Wed. or Tues. (oct. 27 or 28). However, I am yet to get any type of confirmation from Howard stating that they received my secondary. How long did it take for everyone to receive a confirmation stating that the secondary had been received?
 
mailed mine 10/5 got a confirmation email form them 10/13..I'm guessing if you don't get an email from them by the end of the week i would call

Ok, that makes me slightly concerned. Do u live close by? I live in Florida, so maybe its jus taking a little longer to get there?...

got confirmation within 1 week and mine was sent to them via snail mail

Just remember that the time frames some people are giving you are from when the secondaries were first released. The "secondary received email" turn-around time has drastically increased since then...hence, why people apply early.

not exactly, i applied in october and my confirmation still came within a week. interview invite also came within a week of confirmation.
 
I'm jus going to check, seeing that there is $75 in that envelope, I want to make sure there are no problems. Plus, with it being almost 2 weeks sent I mailed it, there should have been some type of communication from them by now.
 
I think there is no harm asking not 2 discourage anyone but 4 people readn the posts and gettn ready 4 next year APPLY EARLY

in the packet they gave on the interview it says that if you do not get out of commitee within 30 days call Ms. Walk

Yes I did yesterday, you should probably get one today or tomorrow.

Since it's not just one of us. I figure they probably just haven't gotten to our files yet? I'll probably just wait til the 15th and if there's still nothing then, I'll email Ms. Walk.
 
Hi everyone, I've been TOTALLLY MIA this year on SDN. I hope for those who had interviews it went well, and those waiting to hear about their interview be patient, and those waiting for an interview DON'T FREAK OUT. I know the process at any/every stage can be nerve-wracking but stress doesn't make a difference once you have done all that you can. I'm an MSII and along with extracurriculars I'm pretty busy. PM me if you have questions. It will prob take me a bit to get back to you (feel free to PM stalk me as a reminder). Some of you may have read my posts in the past so just know it can happen at any point in the interview application process (technically it can happen up until the last minute). So take a deep breath, and try to relax...it just gets busier from here, and it's a wild ride but worth every minute of it! Best of luck to all!

So I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs. I can't tell you how much the waiting game sucks. But I've gotta say, faith, trust me with this one, add a bit of yoga to your routine. It has done wonders for me. Instead of my nerves flying all over the place, I've just got me and my twiddling thumbs, patiently waiting. So Ms. Walk, if you are reading this, I will be patiently waiting and twiddling away, but when I open my email with a message from you, I can say that my nerves will be all over the place. 😉
 
🙁🙁 Has anyone Besides Duckie received the OUT OF COMMITTEE email, I'm really worried I feel like either they rejected me really fast or, accepted me? I know some of you interviewed the 20th with me and still have not heard anything? So this makes me nervous!!!!!😱
 
I still haven't received the out of committee e-mail yet, but I hope that means they just haven't gotten to mines yet. I hope we all will be classmates or at least in a class somewhere next year.
 
I was thinkn of addn pilates i love joggn, cycln and weight liftn i never consideref yoga until now

Dude, I have the same feeling... "Is it quick because they like us? Or because they already ruled us out?" This is one roller coaster ride I hope none of us needs to go through a second time.

Being on this forum helps with the nerves some what. To know that everyone goes through the ups and downs and doubts of applying totally helps. Exspecially since I've got no one to tell me, "DUDE RELAX! I've gone through this. It's normal stress."

probably because they like you. I think I read somewhere that over 80% of people who interview at Howard get accepted
