Personally, and this may just be me trying to not get my hopes up, I would think they would likely not be extending any admissions offers tomorrow, given by the fact that there have been no holds (that I have heard of at least). Instead, they clearly seem to pick up the amount of adcom meetings toward the end and in this way, its probably only a couple more weeks til we might here something again.

All this said, I really wish you the best of luck and by all means, let people know about ur acceptance ASAP on this thread so I can admit my wrongness!

And once again, to those accepted, congratulations- CMS is an outstanding school.
 
Interviewed 3/22, accepted yesterday. Attached acceptance letter was dated 3/26, in case that helps anyone figure out when they might meet next.

This was my first acceptance (second cycle of applying) so I am relieved to say the least. Good luck everyone, especially those without an acceptance yet!

Hey congrats and mentioning the date does help a lot.
 
I emailed the Admissions Office to find out about why I did not hear anything yesterday (acceptance/hold) and this is part of the response I got:

"We just started the process of contacting applicants yesterday. Because of the amount of applicants we have to contact, the process can take a few days. You will receive contact in the next couple of days updating you on your status."

hey dont worry too much, i know being on hold is no fun

i have been placed on hold for the past three rounds of adcom meetings.

last year they sent out two rounds of acceptances in april and they interview

into may. so hopefully we still have 3 more chances to get accepted.🙂

Hi Maiden,

I was placed on hold too back in nov. but was accepted after 3 weeks in nov itself. CMS doesn't seem to be one of those schools that don't care about the Hold category. I will be withdrawing my application pretty soon. All the best!

Looks like lots of people are coming off the hold list while I rot in the small pool. Oh well, RFU, really wish I could have seen what you had to offer.

I'm in the same place as you 🙁 Although, I was complete at the end of September and small pooled in February. I guess it's time to give up hope?

It's April, they only go till May, and I'm sure they've already filled a bunch of spots in my demographic. I'm not holding my breath. Fortunately for me I have accepts at my two favorites already but I was always very interested in RFU.

If you already have acceptances at 2 of your favorites, then you have nothing to worry about, right? If RFU invites you for interview and accepts you today, would you matriculate there?

There's a chance, actually.
 
I have been small pooled since Feb and when I inquired more, i was informed that about 2500 applicants are small pooled and of which 600 are invited for an interview! There you have it...At this point, i have no hope of coming off it! Sad, but that is the reality for most of us here!

Agreed. Small pooled Dec. 1. Wish they would just straight out reject me like Vermont did finally to its small pooled people. Oh well.

maiden I am not sure if you answered this question or not, but just curious: Do you have any other acceptance yet? or waiting to hear from some other school?

Nope. I'm only waiting for RFU.
 
Ya I have been small-pooled since Jan too,when do you guys think is the last possible date to hear an interview invite?

Maiden, I really hope RFUMS accepts you... I know it is really stressful, but you have really good chances of getting accepted as I feel Hold is really close to getting accepted at CMS. Also, there should be movement after May 15th when students have to let the schools know for sure where they intend to matriculate (thou I hope you get yr acceptance in April!). Just try to hang in there..All the very best!

congrats to all accepted. i was kind of surprised that they did not accept alot of student that were on hold in march. some one told me that last year, alot of students that were on hold for a couple of months were accepted in march. or maybe it could be that less student have withdrawn their application, which makes fewer spots open.

Hey Untraditional, were you interviewed 3/22? I think I met you. I'm Jimmy from Canada. Maiden are you by any chance from LA? I also got put on hold, interviewed 3/22.

No, I am not from LA. I interviewed Mar 15.

one of my friend from the medical school was telling me that most spots for this year are filled up. now i know this might be sad news to some of you on the hold list, but if more people do withdraw their application if they do not want to go here then it does open more spots for people on hold. good luck to you all!
 
I'm positive that spots would open up.
 
there is probably going to be a lot of turn over may 15th.

I'll probably be releasing my spot sometime in the next couple weeks. I have my reasons for holding out, i promise i'm not just being greedy.

For people waiting or on hold, does anyone think the committee would send out notices by the 15th?

if by greedy you mean waiting to find out what my boyfriend of 4 years is doing next year and figuring out if i living closer to him is actually a viable option, then sure.

I called and the lady said that they interview till mid May. I'm swimming in the same pool since mid. Dec 😀
 
if most spots are already filled, I do not see why would htey keep interviewing till mid of May? Giving students a false sense of security and happiness?
 
they interview until may, for maybe possible future spots. most students who are accepted are holding on to their spots. in case if these students decide to go elsewhere, these spots become available and students who are interviewing until may have a chance to get accepted to the school. i think last year, alot of the students who did get accepted were able to withdraw their application promptly if they didnt want to attend the school. this allowed many students who were on hold for a couple of months to get an acceptance near the middle of march. this year it appears that most students are holding on to their spots which is why the admissions office is saying most spots are filled up. also, another thing to keep in mind is that there are some spots that are reserved for student in the BMS program. so about 40-50 seats will go to them.
 
Just got an interview invite yesterday, which I promptly scheduled for in mid-April. It's a pleasant surprise this late in the cycle, but I'm telling myself not to expect much from it.

Do you guys think that people are just interviewing for RFU's waitlist at this point? Also, what should I expect from the school, the interviewers, and North Chicago in general (never been there)?
 
anyone still getting interview invites? Been in the applicant pool since mid march (not that long I know) but how late will they be interviewing, May?
 
I feel that acceptance/hold notices would come out next week. I hope I'm right.
