Received an acceptance email this morning! I sincerely hope that you guys move onto the waitlist and hear some good news in the upcoming weeks. This process is quite rough, but I don't think it's over yet and believe more people will be accepted. Good luck to you all.

I have T-Mobile and haven't had any problems. I heard AT&T gets bad reception in the RFU main buildings. There are outlets and extension cords spread around and under seats in Rhoades, the main lecture hall, you just have to find them (one is in the middle section, 4th row, on the left). Sometimes you will have class in the M2 room, which if I recall correctly, has an outlet under each seat. I think I heard that they wanted to put outlets under the seats in Rhoades as well.

Interesting. I had Verizon when I interviewed, and then AT&T as an M1, and with both of those there were plenty of places in the building where I couldn't get reception, including Rhoades.

Congrats...I hope i follow you in!

sooo... any of us hold people hear anything? It sure would be nice to get an update from CMS concerning my future.

PS--- congrats reggie!

lol, i knew thats the way it would have been. im pretty sure the hold people will move on to the waitlist next... as for the hold people getting an acceptance, depends on how many spots are available.

maybe they're waiting to see where LeBron ends up... I've heard all week that once he decides where he's going, everyone else will fall into place. Including RFU.

yea along with those other free agents. maybe RFU already has spots for us hold people. they are just waiting to give us the deal.

We'll finally get our rejection letters and get some closure...

thanks gotta21... and yea router, thats most likely what will end up happening. i doubt that there will be alot of movement, and we will probably get that waitlist mail before the rejection one . even though i havent heard from BMS, im thinkin about focusing on getting into my state schools.
well RFU, we could have been good friends for four years but it seems like you got a full class.

i think after their waitlist email which is expected next week, i think they will probably accept maybe a couple of people about one week before orientation. i dont want to give false hope... but i dont think ill get in this year.

hmm? nothing today?
I had this gut feeling that we might hear back this week.
I know I'm not gonna be able to let go until I read the rejection email.

I know it sucks really bad being in the boat that we are but I have this strong feeling that everything will work out in the end. Sooner or later, we are all going to be physicians because we have the drive and the determination to see this thing through.

This will be my third time reapplying and I have already signed up for the mcats.

We might have to take a longer way to get to our destination but God willing, it will happen. We will get there and we will be splendid physicians.

Hello! I am breaking my long-time silence as a SDN lurker 😉 to hopefully encourage you guys: I had a one-year deferment granted (via e-mail) this afternoon. In short, I'm taking the year to stay at my clinical research job because we're really close (well, in terms of clinical research anyway... looking at ~6 more months) to finishing a study (one that I've invested a lot in and have grown a lot from) and publishing! Anyway, that opens up one more spot in the class of 2014, and I really really really hope it goes to one of you guys!!! 🙂 :xf:

just fyi:
secondary complete 12/1 (I know, this should have been application suicide completing that late, right??), invited for interview 3/26 right as I was going to give up and start reapplying, interviewed 4/12, on hold 4/30, accepted 5/26, they acknowledged my deferment application on 6/7... what a crazy application process it's been!!

cyco... congratulations... thats really cool. good luck in your research!

congrats and thanks cyco. and good luck to the rest of us. i know we'll def get in somehow maybe this year or the next God willing.

How is everybody else coping with the wait...Its so hard to concentrate at work..or in life...

Your application process is incredible, what an interesting timeline!!!

I will be withdrawing my acceptance at Rosalind Franklin tomorrow. That means one more spot for the rest of you. Good luck! It's a great school with an awesome and welcoming environment, but my heart is with Iowa. Hopefully one of you will get my spot!

that's awesome bahoffer!!
that means one more seat for someone!

still waiting on a miracle... or a waitlist at least

thanks for the info bahoffer and good luck... iowa is a very good school

Hey everyone, congratulations on getting accepted. Anyways, I'm looking for a fourth roommate to live with me and 2 other M2s in a house in Lake Bluff. It's less than <10 minute drive to school. You'll get the basement which includes your own room, living room and full bathroom all for $525/month + utilities split 4 ways. A great reason to live with us is that we have notes, books and basically all the support you'll need to make it through your first year. Let me know if you're interested by messaging me back here on SDN. See you in August.

Noooooooope.... But RFU is having a special tonight telling all of us if we're in their school. its called "The Decision"

i thought we would hear by this week something... i wonder if there actually are seats available in the class... the admiss office doesnt say much at all....

congrats bahoffer, iowa is a really good school.

One month before school begins.
It would be nice to hear back sometime soon whether it's good news or not.
I want to be able to set my alternative plans in motion with vengence.

being on hold... so sexy.... are there still waitlist people out there too?

i think everyone that got that waitlist email earlier was accepted to the school.. i do wonder if they still have any open seats and also how many hold people there are. also, i heard that Dean Ross is leaving by the end of the month.

at the very least, they seem to give info to people every other week. they need to give us something this week i would think, at least by just saying we're on a waitlist. Sigh cms.

This is the most anxious I've ever been in my entire life...

I got a rejection email.
Being put on the waitlist is probably a good news even at this point!
Good luck guys!
