How in the world did you get wait listed with a 3.7+/40??? I would think you'd be on the top of their list of desirable candidates. Perhaps they're expecting you to turn them down and go somewhere more "prestigious" ?? Anyway, does it take them a long time to mark your application as complete? I have had everything submitted for almost a week now (MCAT score received last Friday) and it still says my application isn't complete on the status page.

Yea I don't know... I hope that was their thinking. I had such a positive interview, I really thought I was going to get accepted, but I guess that just goes to show you that you never know.
As for your question, it usually takes more than just a week. If it isn't marked complete within 3 weeks I'd start to worry, otherwise just wait it out.

Got an email from Dean Rosso this afternoon at about 3:30. Maybe if you didn't get one (and interviewed early) you'll get an acceptance/rejection tomorrow. Who knows. My application status page still says no action.

Sorry to hear that Sluggie. Maybe DRIN was right and they did just wait list us because they didn't think we'd go there...

Actually, since they keep seats open up until the last day of interviews, they are very, VERY quick to waitlist people just to make sure they have spots up until the very end. They dont start really filling seat until at least December.

Do they? Maybe its changed since I interviewed in march '08, but when i interviewed, they told all the interviewees that their class was full, and that everyone that was interviewing that day was interviewing for a spot on their wait list.. so it seems that they don't leave seats open until the last day of interviews.

Actually Dean Rosso made a pretty big deal about leaving spots open until the last interviews when I was there in September. He said he didn't feel right about interviewing people just for waitlist spots, so he was gonig to leave seats open until the last interviews in March or whenever. So maybe it is a change from last year.

i really hope this is the case now! .. it was pretty discouraging to hear that at the start of the interview 🙁

Waitlisted as well, 3.7/37Q, and I thought the interviews went extremely well.

Just got an interview invitation for 12/02! I was complete October 12th.

I'm really psyched, I think Buffalo looks absolutely fantastic. 👍
 
Ummm rejected. Not sure when, they didn't send an email or anything, just randomly checked my status last night and found that it had changed from "No-Action" to "Non-Accept". Yea, non-accept, lol. Oh well, first rejection this year, but at least I got used to it last year 😆

I remember the first time I applied they started rejecting people around this time (including myself). Not rejected yet :xf:
 
Can someone post the status page link? My comp crashed and I lost all of my bookmarks
 
For those accepted, has anyone received snail mail letter/package? I'm wondering how to go about putting down the deposit etc.

I was complete 9/14 and this was a pre-interview rejection. I couldn't believe it either since I was above their averages and a NYS resident. I am assuming they figured I wouldn't attend? Who knows, as long as somewhere wants me...haha

There have been people waiting longer 🙂

I think I'm probably on hold right now. Other people have been rejected so I'm guessing they're going to evaluate my app next year. In your case it's still early so they may not have even looked at it.

I think they reject based on when you submit your secondary.

I think it means they're going to wait to evaluate our applications later. I've been 'no action' since early July. If they wanted to just rejected me I assume they would have by now since they're already rejecting other people with better stats. I've heard of people in past years who applied early, then got an interview in March, and finally got in around June.
 
Seems like this week's round of interview invites went out this morning...at this point interviews are being scheduled for December so all the OOSers might get a taste of those infamous Buffalo winters haha. Invites were sent by email, but online status still says no action. By the way, the representative in the admissions office was extremely nice and helpful.

I'm in state and live really close to Buffalo, and it still took a week to get to me. I assume it'd take longer if you're OOS or live farther away from Bufflalo.

Yes, I've been complete since 8/4, and Rosso said that my app still hasn't been reviewed yet.
