Also, there are greater number of Carver applicants not signed on to SDN than those who have accounts... think about it, we know they accept somewhere around 25 applicants per week, but there were only like what? 2 acceptances last week. So they may have met and accepted folks - perhaps these folks do not have SDN account... just my weird 2 cents.

In any event, can't wait to come join y'all in the cold (iowa) next year. Texas is too hot for me. 🙂
 
I believe someone said on the last page that they had talked to the ad com and they had told him they were meeting 3 times in December. It would make sense that they met this week, and are skipping the next two weeks for the holidays. But, I guess I don't know for sure they met this week.

Let's just assume they didn't, otherwise we all would have received acceptances by now, right?

Hi everyone, I have to admit that I was an early November acceptance to CCOM that just joined SDN last night...(sorry!). Jamiu does have a good point...

Good luck to everyone, I hope we are all future classmates! Let me know if anyone wants to discuss housing...

Correction: Can't wait to have you all as my zombie classmates (see previous posts). I mean, let's be honest; you can't go to med school in a town full of zombies without becoming one yourself...
 
I'm new to SDN. OOS, interviewed on October 22nd and got accepted November 16th. Let me know if you have questions about interviews, etc.

Good luck to all those waiting to hear. I know it's frustrating!
 
Does anyone know if the ADCOM is meeting at Carver today?
 
someone posted on this thread that the ad com was meeting 3x this month. I hope that means that they are meeting today.
 
That's what I'm hoping for as well, but wasn't sure if the "3rd week" would be this week or next.

I would probably guess that its not next week... they'll be too busy celebrating the holidays. Hope today's the day lol. Good luck everyone.. and Merry Christmas.

Total surprise but I was accepted today! Interviewed 9/24, OOS. Now I have some thinking to do....

Grats on the acceptances! Yea I spoke with the adcom around early november and they said that they will be meeting 3 times this month. The bulk of acceptances also really start rolling in Jan, so don't waste this wonderful holiday worrying about acceptances! Enjoy the holidays and best of luck to everyone!

Hey Icacer, did the adcom say that the bulk of acceptances come in january or is that secondary from somthing you heard somewhere else? please forgive the neurotic premed in me...

Hahaha no worries. They told me when I was still waiting that they are giving out more "spots" from January on... so in my opinion, I'm assuming they are talking about acceptances to the Class of 2015.

If that still doesn't ease your thoughts, I am currently in MedLabs and could head over real quick to MERF and ask them. Let me know cause the offices close around 4:30pm!

After re-reading your question, I realize I didn't quite answer it lol. my bad!
They had informed me that they are giving out 2/3s of the seats from January on... so no, its not from secondary sources.

Confirmed! So far they have accepted about 1/3 of the class size, with still plenty of spots left for both OOS/IS applicants. They also have acknowledged that they have slightly favored OOS so far (accepted a few more OOS applicants than IS applicants).

Is Carver doing any interviews in January? If not then I assume they will be processing the files for all interviewed applicants in January.

What a relief to know. I'm with you too Hawks. Got a 4.0 this semester and had some great community work, hoping it translates into an acceptance!

Just thought I'd let some who are wondering about interviews know that interviews are being sent out. I'm OOS and was offered an interview last week. I saw dates available through January.

Tuesday!!! Think they are back in session? I've been anxiously awaiting every Tuesday for a few months now, and still have my fingers crossed. Knowing something is better than nothing. OOS and weary of all the spots that have already been taken, I fell in love with Carver.
