this may be confusing considering my name (I lived there when I created it), but I'm in Chicago and I still didn't get anything.

reeeejjjjjeccctttteeeeeddddd via snail mail. I am a West Coaster.
So I am OOS waitlisted number 61. A friend of mine was >100 and asked the admissions office what his chances were. Apparently in the 2 out of the last 5 years, they reached number 105 on the OOS waitlist. So don't lose hope!
Wow I wonder how far they'll get this year! I'm number 44... You'd think they would be fairly consistent every year with the number of people they take off the WL?
If anyone on the waitlist is thinking about abandoning ship, please do so as quickly as possible and update this forum. 🙂 I'm afraid the butterflies in my stomach are going to morph into mini Cujos.
I live inIowa City and STILL haven't gotten any mail!
Would anyone already accepted be able to share when 2nd look day is?

Has anyone recently barraged the admissions office to see if the waitlists have moved at all? I know it's only been like five days but my fingers are crossed for a lot of movement!
I'm #13, and I think you said you were #16? I was hoping you assaulted them with phone calls so I wouldn't have to! 😀 I promised myself I'd wait at least a week... I. Am. Going. INSANE.
Noooooo! This is killing me. I keep hoping someone else is going to call because I know that after the first update (hopefully we don't have to wait that long) I'm going to become that kid who calls like every three days and annoys the bejeezus out of the committee.
grrrrrrrrrr!!!!! I'm doing everything I can to distract myself from calling.

(we raised 16 grand yay!)...running outta ideas cuz I'm on spring break...
I'm #9 on the IS wait list and I promised I would wait until Monday. Never thought I would be more excited for a Monday...
I received an email from the admissions staff...I had moved from #3 on the IS wait list to #1.
I remember Midwestern Blot saying the WL had moved, but I just ran through my Gmail and I didn't get a notification. So we've all moved up at least two, which is great. I'm hoping to hear about more than that.
Just called the admissions office. The in state waitlist has still only moved up 2 spots. I started at 8 and have moved up to 6. She said it was rare for the list to start moving so early though, and she will send everyone on the waitlist an update of their position next Tuesday or Wednesday. Finally, she said that she will email people who do not respond to whether or not they want to remain on the waitlist next week, then call them on Friday before actually kicking them off. Happy St. Paddy's
Hi everyone, congratulations to those who have been accepted and wait-listed--sounds like the list is already moving, so that's good news! I was accepted in the fall, I'm from Colorado, and I believe I'll most likely be at Carver in the fall, unless my instate school takes me off the waitlist (unlikely) and offers me a lot of money (even more unlikely). I have a lot of family in Iowa and my folks both went to U of I, so I'm familiar with the area, but I have no idea about living situations. I would like a 1 bedroom apartment in a relatively newish complex that doesn't look compeletely dreary, and within walking or busride to the MERF building. I heard at the interview that parking is terrible, so I want to avoid that. For those of you who are from Iowa City, or undergrads/recent grads from the University, do you have any suggestions of complexes I should look into? I would really appreciate it.
Again, congrats to other future Carver students! I really loved the school, and got a very welcoming feeling from them--something that could be said about the whole state of Iowa, actually ;-)
Thanks for checking 🙂 my nerves get a break... for now...
No problem. I figure we can get a rotation going and then we don't have to personally annoy the admissions office so much, but we can still find out the status of the waitlist quite often.

Good call. Sooo....one hour rotations? Haha. We just have to wait a couple more days for the updated e-mail, so I probably won't be calling until at least Friday when people start losing their spots.
Haha wouldn't it be nice if they had news every hour? But then we'd have nothing to incessantly stew over here...
I was thinking the same thing about waiting for the deadline to past before bombarding the office with phone calls. Is it just me or does it feel like it's been forever since we got the letters??
Tuesday has passed and Wednesday is pretty close to over. Has anyone received an e-mail update about the waitlist?
Maybe they meant they would send us an email the Tuesday or Wednesday after the Friday that they kick people off the list? Maybe? if that made sense? That was a lot of days in one sentence...
If you are on the waitlist, do you need to send anything other than a FAFSA for financial aid? If so does anybody know the deadlines?
Here is a link to the financial aide timetable.
The only other form that you might need to submit right now is the Iowa Verification form, together with you/your parents' tax returns.....if you can get on ISIS as a waitlist student, you can fill it out and submit it. Other than that and the FAFSA, there is nothing more immediately to fill out for financial aide.
And, MB, I hope to be your classmate this fall 😉
