I think they said round one includes everyone who interviews up until the end of November, but I could be wrong.

...and rejected a while after the 30 day mark....35 mcat, gpa btwn 3.75 and 3.85.
Was anyone else asked this during the interview:

I had similar questions to these at BU and at basically every other place I interviewed at. I was just completely honest and I gave my honest opinions about the schools as well to give the interviewer an idea about my thought process in choosing a school.
Darksies, it's not too late to be applying. The Dean made it clear that ample seats would be available for those who interview next (calendar) year, and there is no disadvantage to that. In fact, only a third of the acceptances are given out in January.
Yah I'll be interviewing the 30th. Don't know when I'm getting in yet... probably should get on that plane ticket huh ? haha

This might be a dumb question...but I am interviewing this Monday and I was wondering if anyone knows WHERE we are supposed to meet at 8:00 AM??
I assume the meeting spot is in Admissions, but I just wanted to make sure....I read through all my old emails and they do not specifically state where we're supposed to meet up in the morning

Just got an interview invite! I was complete August 22, and got the 30 day email on September 21. Those of you still waiting, don't give up hope.
I think I'll probably choose to interview this Friday. I'm a little nervous about having so little time to prepare, but I'm already in Boston. Next date after 11/18 is 11/28. Any advice on whether it would be beneficial to choose the earlier date? It's only 10 days difference.

My BU interview experience was difficult / unexpected and caught me off guard, especially after I was asked in an accusatory tone: How do you think you can compete with everyone else applying to this school, going from goo-goo's and ga-ga's to medical school? (I am a mother) My interviewer blurred the lines of creating a stressful environment for interview purposes and being just downright rude. Thankfully, this has not been the norm at my other interviews, and from what I heard from other interviewees, my experience at BU is not the norm, either. So, I think the odds are you will have a pleasant, conversational interview. Good luck
Did he really say that in those words? If so, that is absolutely horrible. I don't see why schools allow their interviewers to behave like that. Good for you for making it this far (I imagine it must have been very difficult) and good luck to you

We probably had the same interviewer. I loved everything about this school except for my interviewer, but it seems as though everyone had a different experience with their interviewers from my interview day. Some had great experiences, some had an interviewer who didn't care for them at all, some had horror stories (me included). People had ethical questions, some led to arguments, others were just a quick whats your view on this. I didn't have any ethical questions, but I wish I did. I wish I had something that pertained to medicine what so ever. Instead my interview was like nothing I could have ever expected and things became really really awkward. My interviewer assumed they knew things about me that were completely stereotypical and biased and they never gave me a chance to even fully answer a question because they would constantly interrupt me. I hope it's either a stressful interview tactic on behalf of the school, or I hope the interview does not hold significant meaning in admissions offers. Either way, great school, hard to get into.

Haha, those were the first questions I was asked!!! And it only went uphill from there!
So I am not from Boston and have no idea how the transport system works there. My interview is Friday morning and I was originally just going to drive. However, now Buffalo has a snow advisory and I think I'd rather fly plus I have points for Southwest. Is it a bad idea to take the bus or subway system to BU?
I am staying with a friend who goes to Tufts and lives a short bike ride away from his school. Once again, not sure how close these two are or how close Tufts/BU is to any subway line.

Also, another downside of driving...parking is 30 bucks 😱

Somebody who actually lives in Boston (not me) probably answer this more thoroughly, but the Silver Line (subway/light rail - about $2 one-way) stops about 2 blocks north of BU Med, and you can easily take it there from the Tufts Medical Center stop. See : Link . You could probably also take a bus, but I'm not so familiar with routes.

Public transit for me was very easy. There's a T station just a couple of blocks away. From Logan, take the SL1 to South Station and then transfer to the SL4. And, if you're wondering, the same bus drives past Tufts on its way to BU from South Station.

As a Bostonian, I can confirm that it is dead easy to get between Tufts Med and BU Med. Just hop on the SL5 (the silver line looks just like a bus) towards Dudley, go about 4 stops, walk one more block to E. Concord St, take a left and walk 2 more blocks.
Please note, there are excellent pastries and great coffee at Flour across the street from the bus stop!

Does your friend go to Tufts Med or Tufts undergrad? The campuses are different and pretty far apart, but you can go to BU Med from both via public transportation pretty easily.
Dr. Witzburg indeed = Willy Wonka, and is ACTUALLY the best speaker of all time. Also, my interviewer was my favorite part of BU. She was the friendliest, nicest woman and showed such love for her work. A completely stress-free conversation that left me feeling more like I'd met a friend than attended an interview.

People here have said that the end of the Nov is the cutoff time for the first pass.
Interview around 90. Accept for ~8 spots.

Pretty standard. Tour the campus and chill with current students on Thursday afternoon and night. One MD interview on Friday morning, followed by a PhD interview. Very relaxing, not much stress. You'll meet all other MD applicants only on Friday morning's orientation and afternoon's financial aid wrap-up.
