Let me explain how the University Program handles acceptances. There are rolling admissions, but very very very few people who interview are given admission shortly after they interview. The vast majority are put on "hold" for evaluation at the end of the interview season in February. After the last group of candidates is interviewed in February, the committee meets again to evaluate everyone they have put on hold. They will then issue a mass set of acceptances at that point and waitlist others. Then as people start choosing schools, the waitlist will move some more. But the fact is, many people who are eventually accepted to Case will not be accepted until around March (regardless of when they interviewed).

So that is why I mentioned the number of people who got immediate acceptances in my interview group of ~15. It is common to be put on hold after your interview. This does not mean that you will not be accepted, but to say nearly 40% of students who interview get immediate acceptances is misleading.

The usual time, my friends. The usual time. They were around 6ish last year (in general), not sure how it's configured this year. So, uh, don't strangle me or anything. That wouldn't be nice.
 
auuuughh the anticipation! congrats disco!

does anyone know roughly the timeline between interview and decision? i interviewed pretty recently, so i dunno if i should be boxing up my crazy for later or if i should go ahead and let it out for a today/tomorrow update...

Congrats to those of you who have heard! Thats amazing. Any of you from the dates the adcom met about today: 9/30 10/3 10/4 10/7 10/10 10/11 ??
 
Has anyone who interviewed on 10/10 or 10/11 heard back yet?
 
AAAAHHHHH! Accepted via status check and invited to apply for merit scholarship! Happiest day of my life! Good luck to everyone else!
 
So, in trying to use rational logic, it's past 5pm EST, so the admissions office is probably punched out and done for tonight. That being said, not having had a status change on the Iapply makes me think that I'm either not hearing anything tonight or I've been waitlisted.
 
Accepted and invited to apply for a merit scholarship as well! No e-mail, just decided to check my status after seeing this thread. I couldn't be happier! Good luck everyone!
 
No status change here, probably not great news.

I know that they were having trouble getting names in the morning, maybe the couldn't get them all?
 
I interviewed 9/26, hopefully they just couldn't get to my day, I'd rather wait a few days to find out an acceptance than be waitlisted or rejected tonight 🙁

but they said that they entered them all...I give up. I also thought I had an awesome interview as case.
 
I wonder when early evening will hit so we can have some closure.

Also, has anyone received a status update that was not an acceptance?

Finally, most of my correspondence emails have come through at exactly 5:00pm PST. I'm assuming the system automatically emails any updates generated throughout the day at that time, so I'm assuming they will finish any updates for today by then, so that status changes can be emailed out. That means that we have roughly an hour until the status updates finish- assuming they finish them tonight.

I'm not checking my status until I get an email now.
