Accepted yesterday as well. I interviewed late December.

Congrats! Sorry to be redundant, but was your acceptance email first then mail also?

Could you say what date you interviewed on?

Also, if the list is ranked like they said, would update/interest letters actually help?

Yes, my acceptance was emailed to me. My status page still says my application is under review. I interviewed on Dec. 20th.

I have no idea about update/interest letters. 🙁 sorry. Good luck, everyone.

Thanks. and to anyone who has sent a letter, who did you address it to? Director Welch, or just to whom it may concern?

Hey PhillyDoc, congrats to you, that's wonderful! Do you mind posting stats and if you're international or usa/state?

Where are you checking your status?

I am currently signed up to interview on Jan 26th, but something has come up and I'm looking to reschedule. The earliest date they have available is Feb 23rd. Anyone interviewing later in Jan/early Feb who would like to switch with me?

People have stated that Dartmouth is receptive to update letters. What about letters of interest?

Heading up for an interview soon and I wanted to spend an extra couple of days skiing. Does anybody have any suggestions? I was hoping to go somewhere that is close enough to Hanover that I won't have to change hotel.

other things:
- I am a terrible skier, so I don't need some super nice place.
- I will have a car with me.

Just got an interview invite! So honored and excited; was nervous because I applied a bit late. Dartmouth is my top choice by far! 😍 Keep your hopes up guys!

When you say you applied late, what do you mean by that? When were you complete?

Congrats!!!👍

Hoosier I'm wondering the same thing... or do they put out post-interview admissions and rejections all at once?

I deferred my enrollment at Dartmouth so I wondering what people think of the North Park apartments? What are the rooms like? When is the White Coat Ceremony held? I can't find a medical school calendar.

If we receive an interview invite in the coming weeks, are we likely interviewing for a waitlist spot at this point?

I know for some schools this is not true at all, but just wanted to know how it was @ DMS.

Nope they aren't typical rolling so they can give late applicants a chance

I can answer the North Park questions... they are extremely over priced and are pretty crappy. If you will not have a car they are convenient in that you can walk to the medical school and the free (week day) bus lines, but honestly that is the only benefit to them.

You also, at least at a graduate student, get randomly assigned roommates for better or worse. The 4-person apartments consist of a relatively small kitchen with a bar style table. A "living room" (part of the same area as the kitchen) that is tiny and comes with a crappy coach and table, and then 4 small rooms and 2 bathrooms (that are strangely large). The rooms are furnished with single beds/dresser/desk.

I would strongly advise against living there, unless you really don't want to worry about transportation or buying furniture.

When I was there, I used to live in Vermont (Wilder) and commuted there daily. I knew a couple of other people that did this. The parking around the med school should be fine for since that is the College's commuter lot.

You can save a ton of money by living outside of Hanover.

For sure, Hanover is insanely expensive, I live in Leb and its dirt cheap in comparison.

Interview Invite today! Very surprised given my secondary was complete in August!

Interview invite today too. Also complete in August. Very surprised and excited!

Congrats on the invites!

I interviewed in November and am still waiting to hear back :xf:

When do they usually fill up the class by?

Not usually a big fan of posting, but thought this might give some people a little hope. Got an interview invite this week after being complete in JUNE. Good MCAT, average GPA. Dates offered were in the beginning of March. Good luck everyone!

Anyone have suggestions for places to stay while at the interview? Thx!

Six South Street hotel is a minute from the green (campus center). Get off the bus, head towards the intersection, make a left at the light, walk for a minute, make a left at the light and you're there. Alternatively, the Inn (which is on the first intersection) may be closed for renovations, but that's another option. You can't go wrong.

If I'm leaving NYC around 6pm (too late for Dartmouth coach), what's the best way to get to Dartmouth, so I don't arrive at some ungodly hour?

I'm not sure that there is an option that wouldn't cause you to arrive at some ungodly hour, unless you drive.

Drive up I-95 to I-91 and then get off at Exit 13 in Vermont. That's the only way I see this working out for you.

Just received a waitlist e-mail, interviewed back in October.

has anyone else heard anything recently, in terms of invites or waitlists?... the boards seem awful quiet!

I got waitlisted yesterday as well. I interviewed back in mid-October.

i thought dartmouth didn't establish a wait list until march, after a number of ranked candidates had been rejected and accepted. this would be true according to the information they gave during my interview. anyone know how the waitlist works? I'm still waiting for a decision (interviewed in november), so not sure what to think regarding the turn around.

That's how I understood it from my interview session in december as well... but maybe they are starting early with applicants from october and gathering their final evaluations now?

I interviewed first week of September and haven't heard a word.

oh wow... September and October interviewee's... I guess we are all in the same boat of feeling anxious and nervous! Has anyone contacted the office lately to get an update?

Rejected pre-interview today.

:luck: to those still in it!

Does anyone know whether or not Dartmouth is still sending interview invites?
