Accepted yesterday as well. I interviewed late December.
Yes, my acceptance was emailed to me. My status page still says my application is under review. I interviewed on Dec. 20th.
I have no idea about update/interest letters. 🙁 sorry. Good luck, everyone.

where are you checking your status?
Thanks. and to anyone who has sent a letter, who did you address it to? Director Welch, or just to whom it may concern?
Heading up for an interview soon and I wanted to spend an extra couple of days skiing. Does anybody have any suggestions? I was hoping to go somewhere that is close enough to Hanover that I won't have to change hotel.
other things:
- I am a terrible skier, so I don't need some super nice place.
- I will have a car with me.
Just got an interview invite! So honored and excited; was nervous because I applied a bit late. Dartmouth is my top choice by far! 😍 Keep your hopes up guys!
I deferred my enrollment at Dartmouth so I wondering what people think of the North Park apartments? What are the rooms like? When is the White Coat Ceremony held? I can't find a medical school calendar.
I can answer the North Park questions... they are extremely over priced and are pretty crappy. If you will not have a car they are convenient in that you can walk to the medical school and the free (week day) bus lines, but honestly that is the only benefit to them.
You also, at least at a graduate student, get randomly assigned roommates for better or worse. The 4-person apartments consist of a relatively small kitchen with a bar style table. A "living room" (part of the same area as the kitchen) that is tiny and comes with a crappy coach and table, and then 4 small rooms and 2 bathrooms (that are strangely large). The rooms are furnished with single beds/dresser/desk.
I would strongly advise against living there, unless you really don't want to worry about transportation or buying furniture.
For sure, Hanover is insanely expensive, I live in Leb and its dirt cheap in comparison. When I was there, I used to live in Vermont (Wilder) and commuted there daily. I knew a couple of other people that did this. The parking around the med school should be fine for since that is the College's commuter lot.
You can save a ton of money by living outside of Hanover.
Interview invite today too. Also complete in August. Very surprised and excited!
Anyone have suggestions for places to stay while at the interview? Thx!
I would recommend student hosting if it's available.

I'm not sure that there is an option that wouldn't cause you to arrive at some ungodly hour, unless you drive. If I'm leaving NYC around 6pm (too late for Dartmouth coach), what's the best way to get to Dartmouth, so I don't arrive at some ungodly hour?

Just received a waitlist e-mail, interviewed back in October.
i thought dartmouth didn't establish a wait list until march, after a number of ranked candidates had been rejected and accepted. this would be true according to the information they gave during my interview. anyone know how the waitlist works? I'm still waiting for a decision (interviewed in november), so not sure what to think regarding the turn around.
Does anyone know whether or not Dartmouth is still sending interview invites?
Hey mrmatt, according to last year's thread, it looks like interview invitations were extended until March 5th (at least, that's the last person to post about an II). So there's still plenty of time, if this year is anything similar.
Good luck!
