This thread has gotten quiet. I just become complete a few days ago and am waiting for a decision. Anyone else in the same boat as me?
No email for me when I got it.Does anyone know if you get an email if you're put in the re-review category or if it only shows up on your status page (in which case we'll have to wait till thursday to know)
Hope for those in re-review!!!

Hello,I'll be an M1 at GWU this fall. If any of ya'll are interviewing and have questions feel free to contact me. I was invited to interview at 14 schools and received 6 acceptances and ultimately chose GW so i'm all too familiar with the entire process. If anyone has any questions about where to stay for their interview or anything like that i'll do my very best to help you! Good Luck and hopefully Ill see some of y'all next year!
Hello,
I have an interview with GW early next month and would love to learn more about the school, how your interview experience was, anything I should know beforehand!
Thank you very much and congrats!
Forever on hold...🙁

I had an interview there last year as well, but was eventually put on the alternate list and rejected.
The interview day was fairly nice, our coordinator was very friendly and outgoing. The dean seemed like a true boss and was very down-to-earth, friendly with all the interviewees. My first interview was with one of the dean of student affairs and was fairly laid back in her office. Questions were very general as the interview is closed file, so I didn't get any ethical-type questions...more of 'get to know you' questions.
Second interview was with a 3rd or 4th year medical student and again was of a similar manner except a bit more 'personal', but again just general questions.
You get a nice tour of the hospital...and I must say the CLASS labs are kick ass with lots of awesome simulation dummies that students will get to practice on.
The GWU area seemed very busy as there is a subway station right next to the university, so you're well involved in the city.
Also, there is a lot of time to talk with fellow interviewees during lunch and while you're waiting for presentations (financial aid, dean etc.)
🙂 hope this helps a bit and good luck!![]()
Prateek,
When exactly did you interview? Your stats are amazing. I can't believe you didn't get in last year! Honestly, that makes me really scared because my stats aren't as great as yours and I want a shot at GW so so bad! Its my first choice. 🙁
I was very quickly put on hold.
Mailed Secondary in 8/4

"For 2011-12 application cycle, please indicate activities, academics, employment or other occupation to account for full-time activity. "
I'm taking a gap year and am working full-time at a hospital until I start med school (assuming I get in somewhere).
I wrote about my job as one of my activities on my primary. Do you think it is okay to provide the same response for this question on the secondary?
Was taken off the re-review list today and offered an interview in early October. A little hope for those of us who werent offered an interview right away.
Congratulations! When did you submit? Notified via email or status site? thanks and good luck in your interview!
More hope for people on re-review. I submitted ~7/25 and was put on hold within a week. Interview invite today! Yay.
Oh yeah I almost forgot. Even more hope for people! I was 29O, 3.88 cgpa. But I am a non-trad and lived abroad for many years, some of that may have caught their eye. But yeah numbers aren't everything. I have an interview at Case, as well, and I am WAY below their averages.

I don't think the highlighted part was there before, and I may have read about other applicants having a similar status change.
Does this even mean anything?![]()

That part was always there. Feel free to e-mail them any updates about your application as they come up
Hey guys I have a question need some insight. So I recently signed up for a post bacc program with a pretty decent medical school to get a Masters in Physiology. Should I let George Washington know about this or should I just stay quiet.
A) GW could take this as oh this guy is staying academically active after graduating and not just laying around in the house
or
B) GW could take this as Oh well lets have this guy complete his masters, we will see if he can handle the academic challenge (since my GPA is low) and then maybe he can apply next year.
So what exactly should I do!?
