Can anyone who has been accepted tell us how many have been accepted according to the Facebook group page? Was just hoping that might be a way to tell if any of us that interviewed still have hope. Thanks
 
T minus 2 weeks till boarding the waitlist/rejection train!

There are currently 79 members. 2 of those are current M1's there to answer questions and 1 is the dean of admissions, so 76 admitted students on the FB page

Thank you so much. So maybe there is hope, I can't imagine every single member is going to matriculate but maybe they will. It's a great school

My advice is not not sweat it yet! If you still haven't heard anything you are still in the running. I believe May15th is a big movement day at all medical schools (those holding multiple acceptances must drop all but 1) therefore you could hear something after that! So keep up the hope!
 
You're in the game until you receive a rejection. I interviewed on the second to last interview day, got on the waitlist and was proactive about getting off of it. Keep your head up... there's still a chance!

At my interview day 4+ months ago, the dean of admissions told us that they reject a very small number of interviewees (as in only a couple of them) right away if it's "obvious that they won't fit in with OUWB's environment." Otherwise, I think everyone else is waitlisted, at least for a while 😕
 
Good luck to everyone tomorrow, I hope everyone that wants to go to OUWB gets good news! I am praying I get some!!!
 
Could anybody give some advice on where students live and a few places to look?

the final interview group (2-24) should be finding out today or tomorrow (from what I remember)!

I am pretty sure you get a call if your accepted, but does anyone know what you get for a waitlist.....email? snail mail?
 
so from what I've read the committee met yesterday. what has been the response time from when the committee meets to when students receive calls?
In other words should I be checking my phone and email every ten minutes or not?:laugh:

If it helps, I got the call at 11:15am pst yesterday
 
lavieboheme, when did you interview? They usually don't make calls multiple times during the week....
 
Anyone know when we should hear about financial aid packages/scholarship? I submitted my FAFSA in late January and have yet to hear anything...
 
I'm wondering if anyone is going to be rejected post-interview now, or if they're just going to waitlist everybody who has not been accepted?
 
Just got waitlisted. Apparently they're doing a tiered waitlist, three tiers, and they tell you which tier your in. Fingers crossed for good news in May... :xf: Best of luck everyone!
 
Just received an Email from the admissions committee saying that I am waitlisted. I'm so glad it wasn't a rejection Email! 😀

But now I have to do more waiting until May 15th.. Does anyone know how fast the waitlist goes before may?

Third tier waitlisted. There's no hope for me left. Going to be depressed for a few days, then I've got to resume my MCAT re-take study. Damnnnnn...
 
I was placed in second tier. These tier's have to have like 100 people each, right? With ~400 interviewed and ~80 currently accepted.
 
confused...I called earlier today and they said I was wait listed but she said that we were not ranked and I haven't received an email or anything saying what tier I would be in.

We are unranked within our tier. Maybe she didn't understand that you don't know your tier yet.
 
i have not received an email either... they have to have accepted more than 80 people i think. There are plenty of people that were accepted and declined their acceptance or quite possibly have withdrawn.
 
Has anyone called and asked how many people are in each tier? Also, does anyone know how many people they have accepted at this point?
 
i was just trying to figure out if they've emailed all the first tier people first...i still haven't heard!

either have I even though I called them and they said I was wait listed. however I really want know what tier bc obviously theres a huge difference!! Hang in there we are wait listed its just a matter of where!!
