In-state, WWAMI region, or OOR?
I did CC (running start) in high school and then again for my post-bac a while after undergrad. I've spent a lot of time in CC 🙂
UW doesn't really care about CC.
Just got Accepted last night!!! got a call from one of my interviews last night. My interview was last week for the Trust program
Does anyone know if Organic Chemistry Lab is a prerequisite at UWSOM? I have looked online and it appears that they do not, but I know most schools do so I just wanted to make sure that I don't need to.

Sorry to re-post, just learning how to do this. Congrats on the acceptance. I got in as well. any ideas about group communication before the program starts?
When did you get notified? The other person got notified Wednesday evening.
I'm just wondering if I still have a chance haha
I was rejected twice, so to anyone who didn't make it in this year: stay focused and don't quit no matter what! You can do it!
Good luck to JRG and the rest of the Montana WWAMI applicants on your interviews in Seattle this week.

Montana taxpayers pay for 20 seats at UW. Five have already been assigned to the rural TRUST program, leaving fifteen slots for the rest of us ordinary "urban Montana" MD candidates.
Montana decisions should come out by the end of this week (Friday) or early next week. Some Montana applicants have already been flat out rejected, post-interview. I have no idea how many Montanans are competing for the remaining 15 slots.
Maybe JRG or somebody else could give us more info, like the number of MT applicants in Seattle per day and/or number of days of MT interviews in Seattle?

How many interviews there in Seattle for Montana folks? I know there were 48 total in Bozeman. Is it about the same number for Seattle?

Please dont shoot the messenger, but Idaho moved 3 slots last year according to post #2 in our thread 🙁

3rd SUC for me. Interviewed in Jan. OOS. Sent a lengthy update letter after first SUC. Don't have many updates for a second SUC but I want them to know it's my dream school. Should my LOR writers give them call and give me a shout out? I wish they could just tell me what to do to get in..
Just got rejected from the last of my other schools yesterday and broke down. Can't believe I'm banking on THE #1 school to accept me... I'm OOS and deplorable stats.. why didn't I study harder for the mcat?! *heavy sigh*

4th SUC for me this afternoon. Can't believe that at my #1 school it's becoming this dramatic, down to the wire and all....
Does anyone happen to know if OOS students are in a separate pile for consideration or do they get equal consideration to Washington residents at this point in the process? I'd hate to have to battle people like herroprease at the end for that 1 left over OOS spot.
Hey---for the people who have turned their FAFSA in... UW admissions notes in an email they sent out, that you 'must' put your parents info + IRS returns down to receive scholarship consideration.
Do they even offer school scholarships? So is filling in all my parents information, which could take 5-10 hours worth it?
Thanks to anyone who knows the answers, esp. any current students who might be lurking on this thread.
6 x SUC....Why must you continue to elude me?!
It should not take 5-10 hours to fill in your parents info. I sent my parents the form of the information I needed from them, and then it took a 20 minute phone call to get all the information from them and into the electronic form. Since most of our parents probably haven't filed their taxes yet, you just estimate and will fill out the info at a later date once you know.
Are you talking about filling out the FAFSA or SOM scholarship application? The latter requires a student account, so I wonder how we can get started with that.
I spoke to Tabitha (UWSOM Financial Aid Program Coordinator). She said that if you only are going for the Federal Loans, then you can just put your information down. If you want any of the UW affiliated scholarships (particularly the SOM scholarship), then you need to put your parents info down because it is partially need based.

hey guys, has anyone had an interview with the Office of Multicultural Affairs? What happens there? The email was rather ambiguous.
