Isn't it the national average MCAT of those accepted? Or have I been mislead by my egotistical pre-med friends?

Eeep. Either way, I'm hoping for some love from Creighton! I'm a reapplicant, too. Anyone else??
no i've heard that too. i'm also pretty sure it's the median for Creighton, might be thinking of somewhere else though

Third time re-applicant here...

Hoping this one's the C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!

Applicant average is ~28
Matriculant average is ~ 31

I stated this earlier.

KUDOS!!! What are your stats?

3.7/34Q

Am I just missing it on your mdapps or why aren't you applying to uw?

I'm not actually a Wisconsin resident, I just put it down to keep me true identity more of a mystery... muahaha. I would love to go to UW, Washington or Wisconsin, however I think OOS chances for me are slim.

KUDOS!!! What are your stats?

Undergrad: 3.72/3.72 (basically a 3.0 my first year and 3.93 my last three years)
Grad: 3.93
1st MCAT: 31S (expired last year)
2nd MCAT: 34Q

I feel confident this time around in a completely different way than I did last time. I have a lot of peace about my application finally, and am fully comfortable and assured in my decision--I've grown up a lot since my first two applications. 🙂

My first application I had two relatively late interviews (U of M, MCW) and was waitlisted at one... The second time around both rejected me, but I had a garbage-end interview at St. Louis, but withdrew to pursue public health. This week I just got my first interview... I feel incredibly blessed and fortunate, and am humbled by all the qualified people in this country. I really, honestly wish everyone else the best of luck!

I think you have a very, very good shot getting in this year, probably even multiple acceptances.

Wish you the best 🙂

I'm surprised you didn't get in your last two years... what part of your application was holding you back do you think?

Just withdrew my application (before completing the secondary). I got a couple DO interviews last night so I am happy about that and I don't want to shell out $95 to Creighton when my chances are slim.

Best of luck to everyone else!!!

I'll make it concise:

The first time was because I had limited clinical experience--I had shadowed two family physicians for a few hours each, and volunteered at a hospital for four months. I DID get two interviews (out of seven schools), and at one of them I was waitlisted.

I figured I'd have a pretty good shot if I applied the next year having been hired as an medical scribe in two ERs. However, the bar was set a lot higher the second time around, and although I had done another year of undergrad (after I graduated), did more tutoring, was a freshman RA, and then had the medical scribe job, it wasn't enough.

At the time, I had emailed the dean of admissions at which I was waitlisted, and he indicated i should get more clinical experience, maybe take a few more classes (if possible), and consider retaking my MCAT (at the time, the average matriculant scored a 33 at the school, and I had a 31). He recommended I take a year off, as applying immediately after the first cycle probably wouldn't be enough to get me over the hill.

Looking back, I THOUGHT I took him seriously, but he was absolutely right--applying in back-to-back cycles was a bad idea, and I really wasn't prepared my second time around. Thus, I was rejected by the school WITHOUT an interview the second time (same with the other school that interviewed me).

To summarize: it was a slight deficit that was exacerbated by me applying two straight years rather than taking a year off and making my application substantially stronger.

Interview invites should go out soon!! Either tomorrow or next week I imagine. AH so impatient

Working on the secondary right now and the more I learn about the school the more I like it. It wasnt high on my list at first but it's becoming alot more interesting. Can someone comment on what it's like living in Omaha? I'm used to big city's but from reading online it seems like a nice place.

Last year II's came out on August 5, the year before that August 2. I'm betting the first II's come out tomorrow or Monday!

It's so neurotic, but I wonder what it means when it says your application has been updated at a date later than when you were complete. I was complete 7/26 (I believe) and it how's that my status was updated yesterday. Wonder if this means I was reviewed? SO NEUROTIC I CAN'T HELP IT!

Yikes. It's only August 2, I need to get it together...

I am also wondering what the "Last updated" date means as well...mine has changed a few times and I have been complete since early July. :luck::xf:

Not bad if you like flat for miles and miles and miles.
People are nice. Bad drivers 😛

Well mine was last updated at about midnight last night... I doubt that adcoms were actually reviewing my application or anyone was processing it that late. So I'm not sure of the significance of these "updates", especially without any IIs yet. When the first batch goes out we may have a better idea. Hopefully they won't make us suffer all weekend and release it tomorrow.

Submitted earlier today 🙂 Did they say it took ~3-4 weeks to review apps upon their completion before interviews?

Interview invite this morning! 3.62c/3.81s/34Q(12P/10V/12B). Complete 07/12/2012

I'm so confused! I got an email saying congrats on the interview here's info on the student host program but where is the interview information????!! Status page?

Interview invite this morning! Trying to decide if I should fly or drive... it's only 8 hours.

I had the same confusion. Check your spam folder. That's where my invite was hiding.

Yay! Got my invite today too (in my spam folder of course - thanks a lot gmail).

I was wondering, does anyone know if these interviews adhere strictly to the schedule? Do they often run over or have "unofficial" after events? I'm trying to book my flights and I'd ideally like to be out of there the evening of my interview date.

Did it take the 3-4 weeks they said it would for your letters to be approved?

I also found my interview invite in my spam folder. Then under that email I found out that my great uncle wire transferred me 1 million dollars and all I had to do was claim it. Could this day get any better?

Got an interview invite! OOS, 3.7 cGPA and 32R MCAT. I took the August date..

Edit: Changed the date to September because the flights on a Thursday interfered with my lab I am a TA.

Was everyone who got an II completed in early/mid July??

Well I submitted the secondary the day I got it. However, I didn't receive my second MCAT scores until July 24th... So I wasn't complete until the school got those.

I was complete 8/1 and got an invite in my Spam folder too. I at first thought the email for the student hosting was a mistake... I have a weaker MCAT.

What's your GPA? I'm 3.6/29 and no invite yet. Complete mid July.

Cumulative and science both lower than national accepted averages but have an upward trend. I really think it's how I answered the questions though regarding my experiences, beliefs, and how I would be a great fit at the school.
