Congratulations for all those who have been accepted!!! Is there a facebook page for those who have been accepted? I think it would be great to get know each other before school starts

At my interview Ms. Walk said that the admissions office sets up a facebook page for the students once the class is finalized so people can get help looking for housing.
 
I just wanted to say that Howard Admission Staff (Ms. Walk, Ms. Jones, and Mr. Totten), are the most caring, understanding, and helpful group of individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with. They exude this genuine warmth that truly speaks volumes of the students at their school. I am truly honored and humbled to have received an II today; I hope to one day be a part of this family.

Thank you to those who withdrew and allowed people like to me to have a chance, congrats to those who have interviewed/been accepted, and positive thoughts to those still waiting to hear back. It may be difficult to be patient but HUCM is truly worth the wait.

Yes, I remember her saying that also, but I received my packet in the mail and there is no information about the FB page...

I was accepted also. I received an email from Ms. Walk saying we would be notified via email about orientation and the class Facebook page. I'm sure that email will be sent soon...maybe sometime next month.

First and foremost, congrats to all those who got accepted. Currently, Howard University class of 2013 is filled up pending withdrawals. If any of you no longer want to attend Howard University, please withdraw before the end of April so that others can get in. Many of you on this stream have done this already. Good luck with all your future endeavors everyone.

So what does that mean for those of us who interviewed but haven't received any more emails regarding the "next-step? (i.e. admissions reviewing our applications, etc.) Did Ms. Walk tell you that you are now on a waitlist or does something else happen?

Ms. Walk did tell me that I was on this waitlist; I did not interview though. I don't know how your situation will work out and you may need to call the admissions office yourself. Best of luck.

I didn't receive any email of class being filled! Does anyone know if they are still interviewing till end of April or mid-May? I spoke with Ms. Jones last week and she said interviews will be going on till Mid-May. I am still hoping to receive an interview from this school. I love Howard's faculty and students, been to two open houses.....felt like I was part of a family!

Hey waddup yall.....congrats to everyone accepted at HU!! I interviewed back in october and was accepted mid december....have any of you guys received information about scholarships?? or your financial aid packages??
 
Did any of the applicants whom were accepted within the last couple of weeks receive your decision letter yet? Congrats to all who interviewed and also to those accepted. Good luck to everyone.
 
Congrats to everyone who got in. I am waiting to hear back still. May I ask what kind of mcat scores you guys had to get accepted?

I received the "decision has been made" email about a week ago, but I've yet to receive the email stating that I can call to find out about my decision. Should I give the process more time, or is there something that I may have missed?

Hey everyone! I know the cycle is about to come to an end.. The last interviews for Howard end this month. If you have interviewed or may get an interview, you still have a chance of getting accepted. I know applicants that have interviewed late in the cycle and were accepted to the class. And there also maybe a chance that you may not get accepted this cycle. If you don't get in, take some time to reflect and see what you could do to become a better candidate for the new cycle and reapply soon. Good luck everyone!

You have to see it as a whole. In looking at the applicant everything is taken into factor for a decision be it grades, exam scores, letter of rec, experiences, etc... Also remember it is competitive. There's close to 7,000 applications.

Yes, you receive a decision letter and also some other forms to fill out.

Yes, there are several things to fill out and send to the school prior to class.

Not sure, you may want to contact Financial Aid.

thanks! still awaiting for an interview 🙁 hopefully they invite me :xf: Also, when you say late in cylce, how late were they interviewed?

Since my interview I have found myself up late at night just hoping for an acceptance from Howard..... The waiting is so stressful!

I actually find myself doing the same thing. Glad to see I have a kindred spirit! :laugh: But let's not give up hope. I pray that both of us can join the Class of 2017!
