Is there a save button for the Jefferson secondary, or is that submit button final?

is anyone else having issues with spacing between paragraphs on their optional essay? I'm trying to separate my paragraphs, but when I click the submit button and review my application, the paragraphs all get lumped together into one large block. any suggestions?

Same happened to me. I just left it as one jumbo paragraph; I doubt it'll make much of a difference.

just checked my status and I have decision pending. the waiting game starts...

anyone else?

I am in state, submitted the first day possible, and as of yesterday I still had decision pending. I literally got this interview invitation at midnight lol. cGPA 3.91, sGPA 3.90, MCAT 36P. Very excited!

congrats! this means some of us should be hearing back next week! 😱

Decision Pending here too... anybody know what that means? What other status updates does Jefferson use?

It means decision pending...lol

From last year's thread (which was referring to the year before that):

"Last year, everyone's status said "Application Received" or something along those lines until the winter when everyone's status changed to "Decision Pending" or "Interview Decision Pending." Everyone just assumed "Interview Decision Pending" was better than "Decision Pending," but I went from "Decision Pending" to "Interview Scheduled." You can read more about this on last year's thread, but my point is, don't over-think these statuses. Just be patient."

For reference my status went from decision pending --> interview decision pending, but I couldn't tell you the dates 🙁 sorry!

Just to add, it's possible to get "interview to be scheduled" yet wait a while to get the actual interview. I got that status during I *think* july last year but didn't get my interview scheduled for a little while.

They conduct the interviews on wednesday's and will give you quite enough notice. So if you get that status, sit tight knowing you got one and it's yet to be scheduled.

Ok, mine apparently says "Interview Decision Pending." So that's the same as just "Decision Pending", right? lol.

Mine still just says Decision Pending. I'm still confused--are they different? Seems like they would be.

Mine says decision pending too. Do your apps show under processed applications? Mine don't. I'm OOS too.

I don't recall that we ever really figured out the difference. I wouldn't worry about it. "Interview to be scheduled" is what you're most hoping to see. The rest is either some sort of pending/to-be-reviewed or a silent rejection (and you'll never know which it is so don't worry about that much either).

Processed? That's not even an option for mine. The only tabs on my page are "Applications in Progress" and "Submitted Applications." Mine is currently under the latter.

+1, mine says "Decision Pending' but it doesn't say "Processed" anywhere.

I kind of wish it said "Interview Decision Pending" though haha....I feel that they like those people better for some reason. 🙁 It just sounds more exciting.

Haha oops. I meant progress. Sorry if I worried you. I'm under the latter as well. Maybe they are doing in state applicants first.

From last year's thread they were different, but I couldn't discern what was better.

I never received an "interview to be scheduled" status. Mine went right from decision pending to interview scheduled after they sent me an email and I confirmed the date

Decision Pending too.

Someone called in last year and they said that decision pending meant one of two things: that they have gone over your application and decided to let it go to the silent rejection stage or they haven't gotten to your application yet, which is why some people go straight to an interview from this status. Interview decision pending means they've already read your application, but are still debating whether or not to give you an interview.

All in all it seems like a big confusing mess haha

It can't be that hard to send out rejection emails. I hate silent rejections..

I don't understand why they can't just send rejections.

I'm tempted to call in a month if my status doesn't change to ask if I've been silently rejected.

So in that sense "interview decision pending" can be worse, right? Because that means they have definitely reviewed your application while if it just says "decision pending" they may have not?

Also, can you go from "interview decision pending" to the silent rejection stage (or back to "decision pending")?

Lol this seems way more complicated than it has to be.

This may be totally wrong, but the way I understand it I don't think it's worse. I think it's more of a, "oh your app is decent, but it's just not great enough for us to jump up and give you an interview before seeing the rest of the competition" sort of thing. Whereas the decision pending is more along the lines of either a "we haven't gotten there yet" or a silent rejection. Hopefully it's the former case for all of you!

Why can't med school admissions just be a little more straight forward...
Maybe that will ruin the "fun" of it.

Just submitted!

And if anyone hasn't received a secondary yet I would call admissions. They were very helpful and apparently they sent me a secondary on 7/10 but I never received it. So they just told me to login anyways.

How long does it take for the app received and fee paid statuses to change? I submitted and paid but when I logged back in I still got two "No"s.
