Hey guys, I've been complete for around 3 months now and still no word.

I'm going to be in NY all christmas break (mid dec-early jan) and was wondering if it would be worth a shot to send an "in the area" email. I have a lot of family in the area and really want a chance at this school!

My stats are right around their average (slightly lower MCAT, higher GPA).

Would it be worth a shot?

You might as well try! For what it's worth I sent them an in the area email and haven't gotten a reply back, but you never know!
 
Withdrew my app. and mid-December interview. Hope one of you guys get it...good luck!

Completed since 8/15 and its says, " is currently under review" is this a silent rejection >.<

I'm in state w 3.8/29R 🙁 no love from my state schools so far...

Its not a state school, its a private medical school that happens to be in New York.
 
I submitted my NYMC Secondary on 10/4 and only got the "Completed" status on the webpage on 11/8...soooooo slow NYMC.

I have been complete since 9/18 and under review since the middle of October.. with similar stats 30Q/3.8+.. no fun
 
I've been complete since August with higher stats. This waiting suckssssss.
 
Does anyone know if anyone has been accepted to NYMC yet? When is the earliest date that students find out?

My dates for secondary submission and completion are almost the exact same as yours. Very frustrating that NYMC takes so long!! Fingers crossed for an interview thoughhhh
 
Does anyone have the US News stats for number interviewed/accepted IS and OOS?
 
any detailed info for MMI interview like
1. how many stations
2. how much time to spend on each station
3. how many interviewrs on each station
I know they are strict about not telling the questions but at least anyone can provide this info .

8 stations at 8 minutes per station. 1 interviewer at each station

Does anyone have an answer for this? I received the acceptance email on 11/5 and the acceptance package arrived at my permanent address earlier this week. However, I haven't been home so I'm hoping there's not a certain deadline that I have to respond by.

Makes me want to go to NYMC so much more now... Students and faculty seem very relaxes and cool... Now I just need admissions to show me some love...

I wonder if I should send a pre-interview LOI to NYMC. I have very uneasy feelings about doing this because I got rejected pre-inteview at the schools to which I sent LOI. Any successful stories with LOI?

I sent a pre-interview LOI (half LOI and half update letter) and I have been complete since late August. Still no word from NYMC
 
Interview invite today! OOS and complete 9/20 or so. Really excited to check out this school! :banana:

Anyone have the US News stats on IS and OOS interviewed/accepted ratios?
 
After some deliberation, I decided to withdraw my application from NYMC and give up my interview spot. It just doesn't seem like the best fit for me. Hope one of you guys gets it. Good luck, all.

Thanks for the ratios; I know those are a few years old but it's at least a ballpark range. As long as it's not really extreme (like almost all interviewees get accepted or almost all get rejected) then it doesn't make too much of a difference in my mind. Good luck with your interview! 🙂
 
Finally complete today, 2 months after turning everything in. I highly recommend calling if it's been 6 or more weeks, they're very helpful and will mark your completion if you're over the time frame 🙂

Interview invite this morning! Complete 8/28. They let you choose from six dates, which is oh so nice.
Stats if anyone cares: MCAT 34 (don't even remember my essay score😛) GPA 3.6
