What?? Accepted today? When did you interview?
Accepted! II in feb.
My backpack got stolen with the rush interview packet that had all the information. What do I do now? The website doesn't have the information.
I'm starting to wonder if they're sending out acceptances today and rejections tomorrow. No email yet. cry::cry::
Not necessarily! I remember someone said that they review when the interviewer turns in your form, so our interviewers may have turned things in earlier. Give it until Wednesday/Thursday! It ain't over 'til it's over!
Yes, they send out another email 2-3 days after the initial acceptance email to tell you how to reserve a spot in the class. Congrats! So in the acceptance email they dont say how to reserve your spot, people who were accepted previously, do you get an additional email for this?

are they still handing out ii's at this point?
The admissions office said that the last batch of interview invitations went out last week, so I guess my chances at Rush are now officially 0.00 %.
Out of the 17 schools that I didn't get II's from, I can honestly say that I am the most bummed about Rush. Very disappointed but I guess now I can officially stop thinking about Rush and start focusing on the schools that are actually interested in me.
Are they still handing out II's at this point?
But what I actually came on here for, before I got distracted by the foolery, was when do people begin looking for housing? Here in Madison, people sign leases for the fall as early as November/December the year before. I'm almost positive I will attend Rush, so I am beginning to look at apartments, but I only find things that are available immediately. Anyone from the area or current students can shed some light on this? Thanks so much!

One thing I noticed, and just felt I had to comment on in this thread, is how snarky some people have been. If someone asks a question that they didn't see was already answered, just ignore it or lead them in the right direction, but don't be sarcastic because it's rude and unnecessary. Also, some people have lives and don't spend their days reading every post on this thread, so if answering an already answered question is that annoying to you, why spend your time searching and finding answers, and then posting those answers, just to do it in a smug way? It just seems unnecessary and childish. Had to speak my peace on the matter, as I've seen many people on here have been smug and sarcastic with people that are obviously stressed enough in this process already. Sheesh! I really hope this thread is no reflection of my classmates in the Fall. Hope this doesn't offend, but it's just the truth.
Thanks for showing your true colors. If you want to attack someone, try the PMs
If you don't like someone's opinion, oh wait that's right too bad.
Hey Akeelah, check out the facebook group. There has been a lot of housing talk over there. General consensus is: on-campus housing=do now, off-campus housing=you won't be able to do until closer to the date. Best!

Only a person who knows they are snarky/rude would feel "attacked"... I guess there wasn't a need for me to "PM" anyone. And if encouraging everyone to not be jerks to each other is showing my "true colors" then I'm glad they were able to shine through!
Accepted today interviewed Feb 20. I liked Rush, but wasn't 100% convinced it was right for me. Will most likely attend second look, unless my top choice throws me a scholarship any time soon. I'm holding onto some acceptances because I'm waiting for the financial info/scholarship info. Congrats to you guys too!
Which school are you leading toward? I ask cuz you're holding acceptances to schools I'm on the waitlist for
Accepted Yesterday. Interviewed 1/23.
Congrats!
Glad you finally heard back and that it was good news!
Question... I received a great scholarship from another institution but I really am leaning towards Rush. I have a few friends in different graduate programs that have suggested that I tell Rush about the scholarship to see if they will offer anything. To be honest, I feel like I would come off as a total douche if I do that. But I really don't know if that is cool or inappropriate. So I am wondering if anyone else knows how that whole thing works, has done that or is in a similar position. Any advice would help, I'm just clueless as too how that would work without seeming pretentious! Thanks for any advice!

Hahaha, no, I don't think it's inappropriate. If the school has accepted you already, they want you to come there. My opinion: write to Rush saying school X gave me this much money, school Y gave me this much and Rush gave me this much. I want to go to Rush for these reasons (list your reasons). Don't say "give me more money," but rather something like "Can I apply for more aid at Rush? Are there any other scholarships I can apply for?" Most importantly: DO NOT LIE ABOUT YOUR OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS OR ACCEPTANCES. Schools have their own ways of finding out about these things. And if it doesn't work out, you have other options to choose from. Good luck!
oh my god. I'm praying I get one of those 24 spots!! aghh I interviewed 2/13 and I still have not heard anything back.
Thank you for updating us! That's good to hear!
Good timing!! The same issue recently came up for me!
I was all set on coming to Rush, but I can't say no to the scholarship I received at this other school. This is a great question.
Get out of my head! haha
interviewed yesterday. they said there was only one more interview date left in the season, and that there are still 24 open spots left in the class.
does anyone know when we will get financial aid packages? And does rush offer many scholarships? I saw a list of things to apply for online, but i don't qualify for any of them.
What did they mean by that?
No way have they only sent out 100 acceptances so far.
