Nope. Rejected everywhere this year. I'm getting ready to reapply. Utah was the last school I was waiting to hear from.

Just received the rejection email. OOS applicant. Good luck to the rest of you waiting to hear. I like the more positive posts, lets keep it that way!
Once again, good luck!
You may be right, but what I do know is that people in front and behind me alphabetically, and in front and behind me by interview date, along with OOS and IS applicants have all been rejected. Unless there is a variable I am neglecting, or unless the order in which the emails go out in is random, I feel somewhat confident that all outright rejections have been sent out.
Just be patient guys last year I got my notification on April 1rst. The year before that I had a classmate that was notified April 2nd. When they say the end of March they mean the end of March
Looks like I was wrong. They are sending out rejections of all kinds today. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I'm crossing my fingers for everyone still waiting. I have been waitlisted everywhere other school I have applied. Good luck everyone!
Good luck to you too!! I hope you get off the waitlist somewhere!
I am out. I am not surprised because I rushed my application and didn't prepare myself for interviews as much as I should have. Lesson learned! Reapplying next year with a new focus and better approach! 🙂 Good luck to everybody else!![]()
Just got the rejection email, IS applicant. To be honest, it's a big relief to finally be able to settle on a decision since I was accepted at another school I really love as well. For those of you who end up reapplying, good luck!
For anyone interested in my stats, see my MDApps.
Congrats on your other acceptance! Where will you be going? Also, sorry if this is a dumb question but where do you view MDApp?
Thanks! I'll be going to ATSU-SOMA in Arizona. And the MDApps link is to the left of every comment I post (under my username).

ATSU....what is that university like?
If you attached an ECG to my heart you would know how many email notifications I have received today. Just look where I skipped the beats.
Rejected. IS. Glad it's over. I'm going to AZCOM.

Just got the rejection email. IS. peace.
IS applicant, rejected. 2:30PM
So I know that the U usually takes more Utah students, but all of my BYU friends, except one, have been rejected. Anyone know the # of BYU students accepted this year?
Im sorry man good luck with OHSU!

I also called again today. I was told before that the extra 20 seats could not be offered until it was made official (when the governor signs the bill). The admissions office confirmed that acceptances have not been extended for the 20 seats, but that everyone would hear something by Friday. I asked what would happen if the governor had not signed the bill by then, and was told that hopefully it would be signed by Friday, but if not, everyone would still hear something by then. My guess is that if it doesn't get signed by Friday, those applicants they plan to give the 20 seats to will get waitlisted, and then get accepted once the bill is signed. Just my guess though. It is good to know there are still 20 spots left!
can anyone help with a tuition question?
So, if you go here for tuition information for the current year:
http://fbs.admin.utah.edu/download/income/Graduate/SM.pdf
It states an in-state tuition rate of $15,229 per semester. It also says this rate is for Fall 2012, Spring 2013, and Summer 2012. In a footnote at the bottom, it says that both residents and nonresidents are assessed the resident rate during the summer term.
I can't figure out what any of this means. Is the total in-state tuition $15,229 x 3 = $45k + per year? That seems a little high for in-state, especially considering US News lists in-state tuition around $30k. Or is the summer term not a full semester and only half the $15k is assessed? Or is there no summer term at all, and only fall and spring semesters are charged each year? Or are there only certain years that a summer term is part of the schedule? And if so, what years? Or is the summer term optional for research, etc? This is the only tuition information I can find, and it seems unclear to me. Most schools will list out MS1-MS4 semester by semester charges if they use a per semester tuition method. Or they'll just list a 12-month encompassing tuition rate. There's plenty of information on Utah's curriculum, but I can't find anything about the scheduling of their curriculum. All it lists is 4 phases that encompass 48 months (4 years) of time.
Anyone who has called or any former students familiar with how this works? I'll call them later today, but I thought I'd ask here first.
So who still hasn't heard anything? It makes me hopeful for waitlist or acceptance, but if I'm going to be rejected I wish I could've heard yesterday... I'm trying to learn patience here.
35 mcat... did you apply to any safety or mid-lower tier schools?

You can see which schools I applied to on my mdapps. Most were a bit of a reach.

Good luck to everyone today! I wonder when we will finally hear some good news this week...
I just skimmed through the last few pages and did not notice ANY acceptances since Friday. Does anyone know ANYONE that got accepted this week (Mon-Wed)? It looks like they may be waiting on the governor and only have 20 people to notify of acceptances.
I think there are a dozen or so followers of this thread who have indicated that they haven't been rejected/waitlisted yet.
