how are you finding out about your status through the portal or by email?
All correspondence at Dartmouth is by email.

Thanks! I can't really complain though because I've had a good cycle otherwise.Sorry to hear that 🙁

+1 expect complete since early July. Def a reach school for me but I'd like to hear something either way!Been complete here since late August and I haven't heard anything since my completion email. Does Geisel do pre-interview holds or silent rejections?
Complete since EARLY JULY and silence since. Those 2 reviewers must be taking their time..sighNo, but if you don't get invited based off your primary review (one person), they do a secondary review with 2 people. This process takes a long time! Hang in there. 🙂

Ditto. Same story for a handful of schools I applied to. I do wonder at this point if there's any chance of an ii. I got a little burnt out on interviews, but would be psyched to go to Dartmouth!same same, complete july and still waiting to hear

I was offered dates mid-late Jan.Congrats! How late are the interviews out until now?
I'm interviewing on Tues, 12/3. Will I see any of you SDN folks there? (I'll be the guy who smashes the awkward silence by asking, "Any SDN users here?") 🙂
Okay, I'll out myself. Me! Driving up from MA, grateful I didn't have to pay for another flight.

Sorry to hear that 🙁 when were you complete?Rejected this morning pre-interview
thanks for all the info 🙂 I might pm you with a few questions, this is my very first interviewJoan (Joanne?), the lady at the front desk, is really, really nice also. She's really sweet and talkative too. Plus she has an amazing memory. My interview day was >20 people, and she memorized all our names within 10 minutes of meeting her. I don't think I even knew half the names of the people I met on interview day lol. The campus is beautiful too so it'll take your mind off the interviews.

See ya thereAnyone going to be there Dec 19th?
Ditto.Rejected this morning pre-interview
Don't think they release post-interview results until January.Has anyone been waitlisted/rejected post-interview yet?
Because I'm too lazy to do the homework myself, can someone tell me whether the bulk of decisions arrive on (or within a week of) January 1st, or if they're spaced out for an entire month (or longer)?Don't think they release post-interview results until January.
"Notification of acceptance or denial is issued as soon as the decision is known, but usually no earlier than January 1" - https://geiselmed.dartmouth.edu/admissions/instructions/

Oh, I'm aware; I was just wondering about the bulk. Based on past history, do you have any idea whether or not "early" interviewees (sep/oct) are *generally* notified earlier (i.e. Jan)? I know how the admissions process works (scoring/ranking system), but I was curious as to whether interview date had any sort of effect on notification unless you happened to be absolutely amazing or absolutely terrible. ThanksAcceptances have already started trickling out. From last year's thread, more acceptances started trickling out mid-January and onwards. Lots of people heard nothing for months after January (referring to the batting average analogy) because no news post-interview is supposedly good news.
