Congrats! I was told that we should be expecting calls on Thursday nights. Is this not always the case?

i think calls in his thread have been on Monday and Fridays, but I don't know if there is a set day. I interviewed 10/16.

I remember being told that we should hear back around December 20th. Maybe that's when they've gone through all our applications.

Yeah I interviewed 10/16 as well and haven't heard back either. I've already been waitlisted at a couple lower-ranked-but-still-top-20 schools I interviewed at so I'm not very hopeful about Stanford :/

Remember that Stanford was MMI. They will get to see different competencies that you have compared to the others schools that probably had traditional interviews. It's apples and oranges in some ways.

This is weird. The Stanford thread last year was really active around this time with acceptances and interviews...What is going on?!

Everything seems to so quiet this year, and schools seem to be slower too. 🙁

Also, I was going through MDApps and there's another person who was accepted to Stanford recently (and doesn't seem to have an SDN account), but no one has gotten an interview invite in the past few weeks.

Yea, I think it has a lot to do with the AMCAS delays this year. 🙁

It looks like a lot of schools are doing their rejection waves before winter break...Stanford is too hipster apparently.😛 I wonder if a lot of schools are doing a "winter cleaning" right now before handing out the remaining IIs?

Haha it looks like Stanford is waiting to send pre-interview rejection letters until their interview season is over. 🙁 But the silence is deafening at Stanford.

I have noticed that too. It seems there are less people commenting on the forums this year combined with less action happening in general.

Based on previous posters, it looks like that's when Dean Garcia said the bulk of October interviewees would hear back I think.

I hate it when schools send nonsense that's unrelated to interviews or admissions decisions. Don't they realize they're torturing us enough by making us wait for 5 months to hear something?

I'll be figuring out how to make a Yule Log. The spouse-creature wants to do an uber-festive dinner on Saturday for our families. Incidentally, sponge cake doesn't roll as easily as one might think. I think it needs more egg protein.

Unfortunately, they don't accept updates until after an II.

Unfortunately they don't take any updates. I wanted to do the same thing after my paper was accepted for publication but was told they don't accept updates pre-interview.

Ugh, fate is cruel! I had a few very large opportunities come up over the past few months... which on the one hand is great, but on the other sucks because none of the schools know about them haha!
