Does anyone know if this is it for A&M? Just the midnight batch? I liked this school so much, maybe I should just give my Blue Label that I'd been saving for this occasion away to Blue Label since he got in

There are rolling admissions through to Dec 31st and then there is still match as well. Don't freak out too much if you're not prematched because the school is pretty conservative with prematch offers after the mix up 2 years ago. I'm sorry it is just such a waiting game..hang in there:xf:

Thanks for the assurance 🙂. I was just worried because on the packets they gave us it listed that they interview like 700-800 and extend offers to like 500-600. Which puts me in that small minority that didn't get an acceptance. I don't know how true this is though.

The figures are true but that covers everyone offered a place from today until the waitlist closes next year..there are only ~200 spots so there are more places offered than are accepted. Match will still see the largest proportion of acceptances given.

Also if you do happen to not be accepted this cycle, go and organize to see Filo when all is said and done. He will give great candid advice about your application and how you can improve on it for future cycles... but we're ALONG way off from that now lol. My fingers are still crossed for you!

No way man, as much as I'd appreciate that gesture, save it... you'll probably need it for yourself before this is all over!

I interviewed 1 wk before pre-match and got the email last night...HOLY CRAP is all I could say. Great great school, they read your application REALLY well which I appreciated.

Lol your username is hilarious, congrats on your acceptance.

To everyone else... Reasonably sure I'll be matriculating here. Should we make an FB group or would that be premature?

Yes. I want to see CS/B facilities since I interviewed in Temple. Seems like it's a quick turnaround luncheon during prematch unless they will do it again every so often through Jan. Did they do this last year?

No this is the only luncheon until after match..and even then I'm not sure if there'll definitely be another. However, that being said, if you miss the lunch but want to come look around at either campus, they are super happy to see you!

And BlueLabel it's never too early for the FB group. So happy your joining the family!

Wow. How many people are going to be at this lunch? Or did they not prematch many folks yet? How about gift bags full of scholarships? Just a thought.

I'm not sure of the figures but it's pretty conservative though... they will match more people. As to scholarships, I have no idea sorry. I know people have them....lol

(The little I know about them is that A&M like most Texas schools awards scholarships to out of staters so they end up paying ~instate tuition. And the rest of the scholarships are needs based/ community service and Academic based.. the usual kinds that you have to apply for. They give you info on those ~May/June next year.)

Alright guys, I made a Facebook group for us. I realize that we're early in this process and we might end up elsewhere, but if you're interested in joining the group, PM me your name and I will add you. Looking forward to getting to know potential classmates!

Pre-matched Friday, 12:05. Long time lurker. I'll be at the luncheon!

Nothing more than enjoy your time here. I enjoyed the day and seeing everything the school had to offer. Everyone else seemed to get easy interviews. I had one student interview that I thought went well and then one guest interviewer who read questions from a sheet, wrote what I said and then moved on to the next question. Healthcare policy was asked at basically every interview and why medicine but besides that maybe read the interview feedback page on here and just relax.

Quick update: if you'd like to join the group PM me for the direct link. Turns out I can't add people who aren't my friends, but if you request to join I can add you.

Anyone receive a letter in mail or offer of scholarship?

Did you guys who are accepted receive an email from Dr. Ruth Bush? I interviewed with her so I just wanted to check whether this was just a general email, or a specific one I should respond too.

I didn't get anything from her. I have heard around the site that occasionally interviewers will offer personal congratulations to their interviewees who got accepted, maybe that's what it was about. However, was there any additional acceptance-related info in the email, such as scholarship info? In that case this might be of particular interest.

Either way, personally I think the classy thing to do would be to send a gracious email back.

No scholarship info etc. it was just regarding my acceptance/interview. I will send an email back 🙂 thanks!

A friend of mine was accepted yesterday, so you can add that to the list 🙂

Does anyone's status say "pending" still? Submitted secondary mid-September.

Your status will say pending until you're invited for an interview or rejected.
I only ask because I have friends with the status "under review" and they have not been invited for interviews. Maybe I'm reading into it too much.

That's interesting. What I said earlier is just what the admissions office told me when I emailed them a month ago with the same question 😉. My status didn't change to under review until I was invited for an interview.
Then maybe its a good sign! Thanks a ton.

Mine is still 'pending' as well, I submitted around that time too. I emailed last week about it, but am still waiting on a response.

Yeah, I had the same thing. I email, they got back to me, changed my status to 'Under Review'. No II.

Mine still says pending as well. I was convinced there was a problem with my application or something, but I spoke to them last week and they said everything was fine.. I'm glad I'm not the only one in this boat.

Does A&M like letters of intent? I didn't get a pre-match offer but this school is my top choice. Would sending a letter of interest or intent be helpful?
Thanks!

I got an II yesterday for Dec 12th! Excited!
Just wanted to say she said this is the very last interview date because I tried to reschedule for something later.

I can't speak to how helpful it will be, but for what it's worth I called admissions a month or so ago and asked if I could send one (did not end up doing so). They said they are receptive to update letters (I'm assuming this includes LOI), and gave me a contact/email to send it to.

My personal (uninformed) opinion is it may not help much but it can't hurt... Unless you say something rude in the letter I guess. Good luck.

PS: just out of curiosity, why is A&M your top choice? Just wondering what your thought process is.

I sent a Letter of Interest to Interview yesterday to the admissions dean (Filo). Since you got an interview and I didn't I assume it didn't work. 🙁
My stats are MCAT 32, sGPA 3.9 IS trad. Im not sure what to think of it. Oh well. Congrats though!

Congrats on your II.

When did your TMDSAS transmit and when did you submit the secondary application?

For those who interviewed:

1) Anyone know if there will be another batch of prematch offers by the end of this year?
2) How long did it take for you to see the school on your TMDSAS ranking page?
