2014-2015 Case Western Reserve University Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Is anyone else unable to log into the portal? It keeps telling me "know file found". Does this mean I'm rejected?

For those who have interviewed at CCLCM, do you think I'll be able to make a 5:55pm flight out of Cleveland-Hopkins Airport after my CT interview?

Thanks!

Anybody else getting a "file not found" after clicking "apply now" for case financial aid?

Click on the "apply now" on the left side of the page. The one on the right doesn't work for some reason.

To apply for financial aid, the school's website says that we have to fill out a form through the CWRU School of Medicine Application for Financial Aid (the website that you get to after clicking on "Apply Here"). But when I sign into the website, I don't see any forms for me to complete.. Do we just have to click on the "Apply Here" and set up our username & password for this portion of the financial aid process?? Or am I looking for the form in the wrong area of the website?

They said they would release more instructions in January. Maybe they just haven't set up the next part yet.

I was wondering how does one send the post-interview thank you note and how long after the interview do people typically hear back with acceptances/rejections? Thank you!

I just emailed, to the individual addresses. I heard back after 4 weeks. It think it may depend largely on how soon the adcom meets after your interview, plus other case-by-case factors. Good luck!

For those people saying mid-December interview, when exactly was it? I was on Dec. 15th and no word yet, I'm losing my mind!!!

So many congrats everyone!!!! 🙂 excited to meet many of you at second look!!!

The more I research Case, the more I love it. Really looking forward to April!

No email yet, but I've been hitting refresh like crazy and just got my "Hold after interview message" on the iapply page. Anyone know what my chances are now?

Should the portal say "hold pre-interview" if I haven't been rejected?

+1 here. A little bummed, but I forget because I don't have the papers in front of me, but were there 3 outcomes (accept, hold, reject)? Or just 2 at this point?

Sorry to hear of the holds, guys 🙁 hoping for good news for you all in a few months (or whenever they re-evaluate the hold list -- I don't recall the date that that will happen)

So, what's happening to those who submitted secondary for >3 months but are neither officially on hold nor rejected????

The sheet we got on interview day says accept, hold, or reject.

Alternate list today, interviewed on December 5th. Very bummed, Case is definitely my top choice. Does anyone know the stats on alternate --> accepted?

Hello! I interviewed 12/1 and was accepted on 12/11 via email. I loved everything about my interview day at Case Western and am pretty much certain that I'll be going there next year. Good luck to everybody else waiting to hear back!

I've been using this site for years, so I thought I might as well make an account.

After 2/24 for CT for second group of 16 as per my prior post

Hi, so I was put on high hold for CCLCM. Does that mean it is the waiting list and my application will not be reconsidered for the second batch of acceptances around 2/24?

Just placed on "high hold" as well. Phew! Feels good to have a verdict one way or another, even if it means more waiting.

G'luck, guys!

From the wording in the status "we will have more information after April 30, 2015" it sounds like we're on the waitlist. Can't say for sure, though.

Nothing for me... I'm thinking that indicates impending rejection or they are sending out lower tier waitlists later.

Yeah, agreed. I'm happy to have a response, but it means more indecision.

@adcom101, do you know what it means if we were not placed on high hold this morning and when we can expect to hear anything? Thank you so much!
