anyone see people post about acceptances recently? and approximately what date of interview for those who were?
i havent seen acceptances lately.. a couple waitlists from the mid october interviewees. following the pattern, it seems as if last week of Oct interviewees are still waiting for decisions. Decision times seem to be 6-6 1/2 weeks, so they should be hearing back very soon. hope that was helpful

I interviewed 10/28 (tomorrow will be 7 weeks), and I still haven't heard anything.

Please please pleaseeeee let me hear something today! Does anyone know the time of day they send out decisions? Just to fuel good ole fashioned neuroticism 🙂

I have been on-hold pre-interview for many moons. I guess I am glad it's not a rejection but the anticipation is rough. Good luck to everyone who has already been interviewed!! Does anyone know how far into the spring scheduling they are for interviews?

I interviewed on the 31st and haven't heard back yet either. Hopefully soon!

Can anyone tell me how they communicate decisions? Is it email/phone/snail mail?

They email. I received mine on a Monday morning at 9:15 if that helps...

GWU calculates MCAT score by using best section scores across all MCAT tests taken. BU does this too.

Can someone who took the MCAT more than once, and has been interviewed and/or accepted, testify to this policy?

Have any international students heard anything? (I am from Canada) I was placed on hold and haven't heard anything since

For those of you who have been accepted, did you submit updates and/or letters of interest after your interview?

Got placed on the alternate list yesterday. Interviewed Oct 6th

any updates from ppl who interviewed last week of Oct/first week of Nov??

Oh for heaven's sake, they are giving out decisions to people who interviewed the same week as me...come on GW!

Did you get the notification today?
I interviewed 10/23 and am still waiting. Fingers crossed!!!!

I must have pissed off my interviewers. Flatly rejected post-interview. Took them over 10 weeks to respond too.

congrats! were you given a date to submit your deposit? MSAR doesnt give that info on how long GW gives for you to reserve your seat
There is no deposit...at least not yet. You just need to send back a signed offer (which you get in the mail) within a week or two.

ohh ok thanks. I guess they changed it this year, because msar says $1000

Yeah it seems a bit weird. My guess is that the deposit isn't due until May or something when they really need to solidify the class. I'm sure we'll get an email or letter around March letting us know.

Do any of you know what the start date is for GWU? My msar says TBA, and I don't remember them saying anything during my interview day. Thanks in advance!

This year, Fall 2014 entering group, orientation started Wednesday August 6th, and first day of class was Monday August 11th. I got that from their website calendar. Next year would likely be similar.

Does anyone know how important the student interview is at GW specifically?

Does anyone know what the Conditions of Acceptance are for those admitted to GW? I know it is usually included in an acceptance letter so those who have been accepted already would probably know. I was wondering if anyone knows what it says about required performance in remaining course work?

The Conditions for Admission that they send you when you're accepted state that "the SMHS Office of Admissions for the MD program reserves the right to rescind your conditional acceptance in the event that it determines that your performance in required or elective coursework is substantially lower than reflected at the time you applied for admission". So I think if you just keep making about the same grades you used to then you will be fine!
