To all fellow students who have interviews today... Good Luck!!!!!! Remember, we will all get through this. 😀
question for current students - where is best to live? one of the only things I don't like about rwjms is the distance b/w campus and hospital, so how do you choose which to live closer to? haha
fwiw I'm looking for a 1-2BR apartment (or townhouse, etc.. not too picky). I don't really care about other details, other than convenient access to laundry. or ngl, big closet is a bonus 😛
Finding housing in the area is not hard, so there shouldn't be any urgency.
Absolutely not. We even have a few people who sign leases after school starts.thanks so much! 🙂 quick q, is signing a lease in July too late in the game? I am 95% certain of my roommate, but the other 5% is waiting on events in late June/early July haha. I'm wondering if I should just sign a lease in June, then get a new roommate if necessary, or wait until everything is settled in July
Has anyone on competitive hold heard anything yet?
Anybody accepted off competitive hold? Downgraded to hp alternate list today. More waiting. Just peachy..
they already have it online. theyve had it for months. Sorry i dont remeber how i found it but I was doing very intense stalking and I found the schedule.Do any current students know the rough timeline of when they received the course schedule with exam dates for the year?
Thanks so much!
Do you guys know anything about waitlist movement stats? From prior research on previous sdn threads there are 3 waitlist categories. But not much detail on whether the entire high priority list gets in or only a small portion
Congrats! I look forward to meeting you at orientation!I will be matriculating here! Super excited to be a member of RWJ community.
A quick question.
I don't have a car yet, and I would wait as long as I could until it is absolutely necessary to have a car.
Right now, I am looking to live at society hill, but I am also concerned that I would have to go to hospital every now and then. Would it be feasible to live without a car for the first two years? Thanks in advance!
I am on the alternate list as well. The lady I spoke told me that the most movement occurs early summer.I was placed on the "alternative" list. Has anyone been accepted from it yet? When I called the office they said they couldn't give me much info but they might start dipping into it come late April. They also told me that sending in letters and updated info was a waste of time because the committee wouldn't look at them. :/

I'm in the same boat. Which alternate list are you guys on? Hp or regular?
I'm on the regular. I also asked if her if people on the regular alternate list get accepted, but she said she's not allowed to discuss that .
Withdrew my acceptance this morning. Really hope it goes to one of you. Best of luck to you all and I hope we all wear a white coat this coming august.
Yup I'm also on the regular one 🙂... All this mystery about the movement and not knowing where we are on the list makes me feel like we're applying to some ultra secret Men in Black training lol This has to be the worst thing we can hear, besides a rejection of course 😛, but I think we'll have to really just wait and see cause no one is really giving us much info, at least from the admission's side.
Thank you! One question about the acceptance though, if it's not against the rules or anything like that, can you tell us what deadline they gave you to send in your acceptance or withdrawal?
Thank you for the info! 🙂Hey! The ideal deadline to inform a school of a withdrawal is today for people holding 2 or more acceptances. If it is done by today then people can still get a deposit refund, I believe.
Anyone disappointed by how high the cost is for this school? It's comparable to privates! And all loans for the financial aid.
Had to reluctantly withdraw. Hopefully someone gets my spot!
Thank you for the info! 🙂
I hope so too. I plan on calling within the week or so just to check on list movement but yeah there's nothing else to do. Thank you all for the support in here 😀
If you do call, please share what they say. Inquiring minds want to know![]()
I called the admissions office on Monday and the lady said that RWJ accepted more students than they usually accept this year so waitlist movement would be slim to none.
fyi, those of us who are matriculating just got an email saying the class is overbooked and offering a one-year scholarship to anyone willing to defer. so that confirms that waitlist movement is highly unlikely
I have also gotten the email... I think they have no choice but to accommodate everyone; I don't see how they can force people to wait a year. I am a little shocked and disappointed that they let this happen to be honest.I also just got that email. Does that pose any threat to those matriculating and not willing to defer? I have heard of mandatory deferment done at other schools.

Is anyone else seriously thinking about deferring? Man, this is a curveball... Very tempting :/
... but yolo?I'm so ready to start school again I personally wouldn't defer for anything before a full ride+COA. I'm no finance major but the future year of full physician salary lost seems like 1 year of free tuition would actually be a net loss in the long run
