COngrats! I am in the same boat as you. It says to accept the offer through the secondary application portal but I can't see where in the portal. Have you figured this out?

Same here. There's nothing on my portal. I think maybe they are a little behind on getting us access to the next steps link but if by tomorrow it's not in I may call them to ask.

I called and they said that the next II should be out around mid December.
For what it's worth, last year December II's were sent out later than usual too (Dec 19th for me). It must be a busy time for the faculty with exams before the holiday.

Creighton is such a nice school! I had no idea! I just opened my mail and Creighton sent me a Christmas card! I love how nice Creighton is to their students and accepted students.

Hey guys, wanted to post this before but forgot. I highly recommend doing the open door to anyone, the deans/counselors are so nice about it and will go through whatever you want in your app and deem it competitive vs non-competitive. They will also tell you your overall chances of an interview! Good luck to everyone 🙂

[QUOTE="It seems that Creighton really encourages updates, so if you have any, be sure to send them along now and maybe it will flag down their attention for an interview this round![/QUOTE]

+ 1 for updates. I reeeeeeally think updating helped me to get my interview, and later, to get accepted.

I updated using the portal once in late december - my semester was winding down, so I had substantial new things to report since completing my app in august. got my interview in early february, and then on my interview day they told me to be sure to update on anything else that was not already in my app ASAP, so that the adcom would know about every relevant thing before making their decision. (since this one was post-interview, i didnt have to separate by category through the portal, I just sent one letter with everything straight to the adcom via email. and even though I hadn't done a ton of new things between my first and second update, I used the letter to reinforce/reiterate how much I enjoyed the interview day and how much I wanted to attend creighton and why I felt I fit with their institution (etc etc).

so might be a good thing to do for anyone still waiting to for an II or acceptance! 🙂

Have any oct 31st acceptees received their acceptance packets yet? Also, just to confirm on the acceptance e-mail was the NETID and password included? Mine isn't and I'm assuming it will come in the packet in the mail. Thanks sorry for the multiple questions.

No to both. I'm also assuming it's in the letter.

Nope, I didn't receive my packet and my email didn't have my NETID. But since it said we needed to confirm our acceptance and pay our deposit by the 17th (10 days after our acceptance), I called the office this morning and they forwarded me the packet by email, which included the NETID info! I would call them if you're wanting to pay your deposit and just have it done like I was 🙂

Does anyone have any idea how strict they are with their grade requirements to keep your acceptance? I was accepted a while back and really would like to go to school here, but my GPA definitely won't be up to where it was previously (3.8ish) this semester. It isn't bad, but with research responsibilities and interviews interfering with my schoolwork, I will probably end up with mostly Bs.

You could probably definitely call them and ask. This admissions office has been very friendly whenever I call them. Also if it helps at all, on my acceptance letter it told me that I still need to take biochemistry and physiology (I am still a senior) and that these courses must be passed with a grade of B or above to keep my acceptance.

I would like to know this as well. Could you please let us know if you call?

Really? I am taking physiology next semester for Creighton... That makes it pretty stressful.

Just got off the phone with them. Sounds like it is a little different for everyone, but they seem to be pretty strict about not getting anything below a B in any class. If you do, your file will go back into review and a decision will be made based on your updated status. Just a heads up for anyone who might be worried about the same thing.

Thanks for the info!

Anyone know Creighton's policy on deferring your acceptance for a year?

II! Complete 8/3. First interview for me so I'm mostly relieved at this point (not that I'm not thrilled). LizzyM 74.

I interviewed late November (21st), and talked to admissions this morning. She told me that admissions is behind as of right now, and the committee is on break too, won't be back until January 4th. So it's possible the November interview dates won't hear back until a week or two after the 4th, so I'm guessing December interview dates won't hear back until even later. It's not easy waiting this long, but hopefully we hear some good news come January!

Just got an email saying not to send any emails to admissions for the next couple days and to add updates to my application. Was that a mass email sent to everyone? I haven't been invited to interview yet. At least not to my knowledge haha.

I didn't receive anything.

Edit: Never mind, I got it

Got it too. I expected an II, but then...

Creighton no... my heart...

For some reason my phone is malfunctioning and I've got the notification for the "don't email us" email three times and every time I get my hopes up LOL why.

Or anyone that's accepted can PM me their name - I just need one person (I think).

Can anyone offer more insight into their interview experience? A previous applicant said it was pretty casual/conversational, is this the general consensus?

I'm an M2 on the admissions committee, so I've got insight into how the process goes. They tell us not to grill people or to freak them out. When we get out of the interview, we have to fill out a form that asks about 10ish areas of interest. There's nothing that would surprise you on there. All we want to do as interviewers is to make sure we hit all those sections and to make sure you're a decent person.

I have a question in regards to the post-interview process. Does the committee meet once a month to review the previous month's interviewees?

We meet every week during the second semester, unless there is something else going on that prevents us from meeting.

Oh okay. That means the people who interviewed in Decemeber will hear back sometime in January. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for your response Rhizobium, that makes me feel comfortable going into the interview. Are interviews open or closed file?
