You will receive your schedule and interviewer names after you arrive during a little intro session. Good luck and enjoy the interview!

You'll get a schedule with your interview times and interviewer names as soon as you get there and check in. They divide that day's applicants into two groups with morning or afternoon interviews, and the other group takes a tour during that time.

My schedule: Group meeting with the Dean of admissions, a one-on-one interview, a group interview, lunch, tour of the school, tour of Grady hospital, tour around Emory's campus (lots of walking!)

I did not get one until the morning of the interview when they handed me a paper copy.
 
Does anyone know when the next acceptance date is? Thank you!

Did you send any updates? I sent one update via the application portal and am curious if Emory is receptive to updates. Congrats on the interview!

not true. many private institutions do have particular mission statements, some of those being a desire for a certain amount of instate students

is emory one of those institutions with a desire for instate students? according to the msar, they seemed to accept a higher percentage of interviewed instate applicants than interviewed OOS applicants.

That wasn't the feeling I got during my interview. Rather, it seems like the people most seriously interested in Emory tend to self select a bit. For east/west coasters, the prospect of Atlanta/the south might not be as familiar or as attractive as SF/NY/Boston. That said, I'm an east coaster through and through and I really enjoyed my day there.

Well, yes. But schools are known for certain things sometimes, so I wondered if anyone had insight on that.

For example, people know that Mayo is about interesting people much more than stats. They like stories and life experience and such.

Does anyone have any info like that on Emory? They seem more enigmatic than some others somehow.

If it hasn't come through this year (or any year's) school specific thread, their website, or anything you've heard from friends/advisors then it's probably not there. Based on my experiences, the one thing that set them apart from other schools in terms of admissions is that it appears very important to them that you would be comfortable working at Grady.

I thought the next release date was the 23rd?

As an Atlanta Native I was shocked on outsider views of Atlanta. My friends in LA think Atlanta is "country". Atlanta is an extremely liberal city with many things to do. The city of Atlanta is much different than the rest of Georgia. Unfortunately, the sprawl (similar to LA and other sun belt cities) create a great deal of traffic. Personally, I think the weather here during school time (fall to spring) is much more appealing than that of the northeast.

I grew up in LA and I was amazed at how bad the traffic is in Atlanta!

I'm not sure that they will update the portal because mine just says interview scheduled haha. But good luck to everyone!!!
 
I'm home for the holidays so the I won't know until I get back to my mailing address in January/somehow get updated via the portal
 
I reckon they will probably update portals tomorrow since that's what they did last time but feel free to post here if anyone notices any changes 😀
 
Accepted today, letter says portal will show tomorrow. Interviewed early December! Couldn't be happier

Accepted Tuesday!!!!!!
Interviewed early October and was getting worried because I'm a bit of an underdog (3.2 GPA, 22 MCAT) but I can't wait to meet all of you awesome people!
