No prob. Do any current students lurking on here know when the interview season actually starts for Howard?
I'm not a current student, but the first II in the 2014-2015 thread was sent on my birthday, 9/25/14. Wouldn't that be a nice present! Dates offered were at the end of October/beginning of November. No prob. Do any current students lurking on here know when the interview season actually starts for Howard?
What's a typical day like from start to finish? Thanks!M1 Student at Howard. Let me know if you have any questions!
It's a bit annoying, I have the same problem....Does anyone else notice on the secondary that for courses planning on taking it only lists the options for Fall 2014- summer 2015? What are you guys going to put? It should say Fall 2015-Summer 2016.
Good question! I believe that they do, but I'm not sure. Can anyone confirm this?Got it! do they screen?

on your AMCAS pdf application, check if there is a "U" below your current address. It stands for "medically underserved area".So I went to the health resources and services administration to check if the neighborhood I grew up in was medically underserved and it had an MUA/P score of 62 which means it meets the medically underserved criteria. However, the last update of the score was in 1994. Do you guys know where else I can look for this information?
http://healthsciences.howard.edu/education/colleges/medicine/admissions/requirements and proceduresHey dunno if anyone can help me out here, but worth a try.
I got a secondary from Howard University and notice for the course requirements we need a full year of english. I took an English Composition Class one semester which definitely counts towards the requirement, but I am unsure whether my ProSeminar class would count. My undergrad classifies this as an intense Writing course, but not sure whether Howard would consider this.
Any input on this? thanks!
My undergrad school only required one semester. I have the rest in AP credits, though, which they gave me as credit for Comp I and I took only Comp II.http://healthsciences.howard.edu/education/colleges/medicine/admissions/requirements and procedures
Look on this website, I think what they need is English Composition I ( 3 credit hours) and English composition II (3 credit hours), that's about it. You would not be able to graduate without taking those 2 courses, so I think pretty much everyone has them. Just my take on it. Anyone else?
so you fulfilled both requirements, you put down one as AP creditMy undergrad school only required one semester. I have the rest in AP credits, though, which they gave me as credit for Comp I and I took only Comp II.
Sure, I fit Howard's requirements with AP credit. I mean not everyone actually had to take multiple comp classes though, I only had enough credits for comp by pure luck.so you fulfilled both requirements, you put down one as AP credit
does anyone know what stats howard is looking for? me harry said to be competitive you need a 495...so i wonder if the hbcu's are around the same ball park
yep, as long as it is college-levelWould one English course (full year long - 6.0 credit) be okay for the requirment?
I have no idea because but it says "describe briefly". My volunteering essay turned out to be 6500 characters=1.5 pages long, so I am waiting on submission for now until tomorrow or Friday. Also, I am consulting someone tomorrow, I will let you know what they say

Wow those are long. My response was probably like a paragraph long. I hope that does not come back to bite me in the keister later on.Okay thanks! Mine is about 2700 characters with spaces right now which isn't totally unreasonable but I will try to make it more concise.
