II YESTERDAY BUT ALSO IT WENT TO MY JUNK MAIL WTF BUT YAY BUT STILL GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK
cue everyone checking their spam 😛II YESTERDAY BUT ALSO IT WENT TO MY JUNK MAIL WTF BUT YAY BUT STILL GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK
Did anyone have a publication that was very recently accepted and not know if/how to enter it on their secondary?
LizzyM = 100 - Age
Higher that is, the better. Some losers will tell you it's:
LizzyM = MCAT_old + 10*GPA
But I prefer the first definition because it's less depressing.

Eek... what about when your first age-based LizzyM is lower than your MCAT/GPA LizzyM, which isn't that high either? sh.....t..
Yeah application years are denoted by the year of potential matriculation. We're in the 2016 cycle right nowQuick question: when they ask previous application year, if it was the 2012/2013 cycle.. then put 2013? seeing as 2015 is an option?
Yes, if you take Caltrain-BART or the Samtrans bus, it should only take 90m (max, probably quicker) to get from Stanford to SFO. On a shuttle or in a cab, it would be more like 45m. You should skip the worst of rush hour if you leave after 6:30.The II invite said to "reserve the entire day (8:00 am - 6:00 pm) for your interview."
Do you think it's possible to catch a flight leaving SFO at 9:45 PM? The alternative would be a flight that leaves at 11 PM but costs over $100 more.
When were you complete?II yesterday as well - totally not expected it.
I don't think you can get to your destination sooner this way, you just decrease the trip time.You should skip the worst of rush hour if you leave after 6:30.

II, 8/31! Complete 8/24. Headed to Cali for the first time in my life.
Someone posted on another school thread that their II was marked as spam, so I just checked my junk mail for kicks and it was sitting thereHow did you find it? I'm imagining you compulsively checking your spam everyday 🙂
Congrats! Looks like they have passed me by though :/woke up to an II this morning! Complete 9/3 LizzyM 75
only one interview date available still...
All this shows is that schools don't review in strict chronological order. There's no way Stanford is all caught up with apps complete until 9/3. Sit tight and wait dude, quit fussing over complete dates because it's all BSCongrats! Looks like they have passed me by though :/

With ascending impact factor as the tiebreakerI think it is filtered alphabetically by the journal name of the applicant's 3rd publication.
I did--I think they only want published articles since it says in the question to only list those that are published. An article that is accepted is not published so I left mine out in order to avoid annoying them..Did anyone have a publication that was very recently accepted and not know if/how to enter it on their secondary?
Disagree. Everyone I know would consider it one and the same. List it as in press.I did--I think they only want published articles since it says in the question to only list those that are published. An article that is accepted is not published so I left mine out in order to avoid annoying them..
The instructions state: "Please do not include unpublished papers." A paper that is accepted for publication does not mean that it is published, which means that the article is actually in the journal. At least that's what I've been told by my professors and what a previous thread recommended. Plus, instructions say that it should be searchable by PubmedDisagree. You're mischaracterizing what Stanford wrote. Here's the original quote:So quick question. I heard a few people post their rejections after being completed for only 4 days....how did they receive it? Email is the only think I can think of to get it that fast. But, on their site, Stanford posted that rejections, acceptances are sent snail mail. Is this not accurate?
Thanks!You're mischaracterizing what Stanford wrote. Here's the original quote:
"Applicants will be notified by mail or e-mail of final decision."
So yes, final decisions (and thus the rejections so far) are by email.
still no secondary....
If you have instructions, follow them?Anyone know how strict the reconfirming interview 5 business days in advance thing is?
Thanks! I sent an e-mail to the school. I didn't previously apply to the school. I am just curious why they wouldn't send the secondary since they do not screen anyway.Did you mistakenly put in you haven't previously applied in AMCAS when you have? I did and that delayed my secondary (I emailed them about it and received it two days later).
MSTP II Yesterday! (Complete 8/6)
AMCAS complete 6/21 but just received the secondary! Oh well, at least they remembered to send me one..

You will get it for sure.I still haven't received one either but you give me hope since I was verified on 7/16. I emailed them but I got an immediate response saying they are experiencing a high volume of emails and that they will contact me. That was 2 weeks ago....
Don't you worry everyone gets a secondary invitation (as far as I know) so you will get one 🙂
You will get it for sure.
