payment confirmation is usually immediate and application submission is usually a few days after
 
I'm doing a research/thesis-based master's and the website says for current graduate students, "Students in a degree-granting program must submit a letter of recommendation from a graduate advisor or department chairperson. This letter is in addition to the Health Professions Advisor or Committee letter for undergraduate students."

Is a graduate advisor the same as your thesis supervisor/PI? I have from my PI... Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm from Canada (we call our PI's thesis supervisors but I have no idea if that's the graduate advisor or a separate position).
 
Checked the portal. I still have no email and noticed the II midafternoon est

when I check the status of my application, it shows my application but under the application preference it says not entered. Is there something I forgot to do or do others have this as well?

Wasn't anything there for me either. Don't worry 🙂 it might be for when they ask your preference of campus later on.

It says "Please ignore the Application Preference section below" on the portal.
 
II! LizzyM ~ mid 70s, complete 7/29.
The email was apparently sent around 2PM, but I received it around 6PM. Their emails in general have been somewhat glitchy; I've received complete confirmations days later that went
straight to my spam folder. Make sure to check your spam folders!
 
My first II! complete 7/14. Out of state applicant so the odds are stacked against me. Lizzy M of ~ 71. Second time applying to medical school, first time at Upstate.

How long did it take for you guys to get a completed email? I've checked my junk folder and there is nothing, I submitted 8/4 and still nothing. I'm not sure how I can view its progress as it says its a "processed application" on the portal.
 
Does anyone know how long we have to select a date for the interview? It doesn't seem to specify in either the email or the portal.

took mine a little over a week, so don't stress. they probably have a real life human being go through your file to ensure everything is loaded
 
Wow! Congrats to the II! Had anyone's application been delayed due to the LOR not being uploaded online? My letters have been available to be downloaded for over a week.
 
Hey! I was just wondering about how long it took you to get your secondary after your application was verified? I know there were technical issues the middle of last month but I was wondering if they got it fixed up yet. My application was verified 8/4 and I've gotten secondaries for everywhere but here and I'm starting to get anxious... I'm a SU alum and Upstate is my top choice!

I was verified 6/9 and didn't get a secondary from Upstate until 7/21, way after all the the ones came in.
 
Just received secondary and submitted it after waiting forever to get it haha. Love Upstate though, so happy I finally got it.
 
Hey if anyone wants to carpool and is leaving from the Boston/New England area for a 9/9 interview let me know!
 
Sooooo I just got an email saying my application to SUNY upstate is complete and in the process of being screened, but I haven't even logged in or looked at my secondary app yet... :/

EDIT: Nevermind I did complete the application - just totally forgot about it >_>

Dumb question. "What is your hometown City, State, Zip Code?" Is that where I was born/raise or my current residence?

EDIT: Did you guys list classes that you repeated?

Just submitted the secondary. Late, but yolo!
 
For the prerequisites page, did you guys input AMCAS grade? or the grade on your transcripts (which for me is in percentages)

I put in the AMCAS grade, but that was the same as my transcripts anyway.

I just got a "compete" email. How long does it take for them to make a decision?

And if you're OOS or IS would be helpful!
