Does it say pending II ?
"Your supplemental application review is complete but an interview decision is pending. While we make every effort to provide application decisions in a timely manner, it is possible that an applicant could remain without an interview decision until February."

OMG, WOW, THIS IS SINCE SEPTEMBER? THAT'S SO LONG!

Think like this: with over 5,000 applications; would you rather they take a little extra time and make sure they pick the right applicants... or go faster and risk good applicants slipping through the cracks?

We are a small school with staff that works very hard to ensure a well balanced and qualified student body. 2-3 months isn't an unexpected wait time, and see your movement forward as a good thing!

GREAT POINTS! I really like your optimism 😉

If we have that status would calling the admissions office and inquiring a general timeline for a decision be a bad idea?

I definitely understand the anxiety about not knowing... but they likely couldn't give you a better timeline than the stated February, and they'd probably tell you they are doing everything they can to be timely.

I wouldn't call for this reason. Try and be patient, but like I said... I do understand!

After we get admission what does it exactly mean to remain in good standing? Would an A- and a B+ one semester, along with two A's, result in admission being revoked?

You cannot be serious.

In the off chance you are, no. A 3.75 GPA will not get your admissions revoked.

Actually no I was pretty worried. The end of the semester is approaching and I'm trying hard, but with the interviews and everything it's hard to maintain a 4.0. But thanks so much for clarifying 🙂 you put me at ease. I'll still do my best but it's nice to know that if all does not go well, admission is not revoked

I think to be revoked you would really really have to mess up, like fail all your classes.

Does anyone think that once I take the CASPer on the 13th an answer from the "interview decision pending" would be more forthcoming? Going a little crazy here wondering if by bumping the test back twice I've hurt my chances XD

I heard that Casper isn't even used for interview consideration, someone earlier in the thread mentioned that.

I totally understand your worry about this... but just understand CMed isn't full of a bunch of jerks that would revoke your acceptance after a B-. You can call the office and ask, but my assumption would be: pass those classes that are required for admission. Don't cheat and have that result in loss of good standing. Don't burn down any building or wreak havoc that result in you being in the news for being a crazy sociopath.

CMed is so amazing that if you struggle in your first year and need some extra help, they allow you to go take some science courses and rematriculate, if you fail one of your finals they help you figure out how and let you retake it. I know people at school currently who have been through this process and love CMed all the more for it.

If a medical school could be any more wholesome and care about its students, I don't know how.

OH, WOW, I am SPEECHLESS!
They Do really care about their students!!!

Thank you and best of luck to everyone who came out to interview today! All of you were great to talk to, and we hope you got the chance to see a little of why we think CMED is pretty special. 🙂

We loved the chance to meet with you, and we hope to see you in class next year!

Thanks so much 🙂 I really appreciate this! Great to know how nice and collaborative everyone is at CMED

Has anyone who falls under the minimum (GPA/MCAT) received a secondary application? I know it doesn't automatically disqualify, and was wondering. Thanks!

Mine did. I had a sGPA of 3.0 and a cumulative of 3.2, but they told me they focused on my last 20 credits which was 3.9.

Were the last 20 credits they focused on all science or cumulative? How about your MCAT? And it looks like you were accepted! If so, congrats!

My last 20 credits were all upper level science, yep. And my MCAT was above their cutoff at 502. Haven't been accepted there yet, I interviewed on Nov. 18! I will mention it is incredibly late in the cycle, are you still planning on submitting to AMCAS? It might be best to just wait and apply day 1 in 2017.

I know at least one person in my class (m2) that was accepted with an MCAT below the min. I think they'll at least look at your app, so keep your fingers crossed.

It's been three months now that I've been in review. Perhaps they don't give everybody the pending interview status update?

I received an interview invite a while back, but I was not able to afford a flight up to Michigan, so I am withdrawing my II. Good luck to those still waiting!

It's officially one week until the committee meets to decide the fates of 11/11 and 11/18 😱😱😱
I swear, I've been counting the days! So nervous but at the same time excited!!! Good luck everyone!

Still under review since the end of July and I'm originally from northern MI. Just patiently awaiting my rejection email at this point. 👍

Application under review status for about 3 months then today just got the "Your supplemental application review is complete but an interview decision is pending. While we make every effort to provide application decisions in a timely manner, it is possible that an applicant could remain without an interview decision until February."

Is this a rejection basically?

If you read the thread, you will see that no, it is not a rejection. It is the normal next step in the review process and everyone gets it, including people who get II's.

If you have all required info/documents in you should probably call or email. Did you have MCAT results or letter(s) of recommendation pending?

Application Review Complete today. OOS. Not sure when I went under review but it's been at least 8 weeks. Secondary submitted mid September.
